[edit] Additional Wines
Need to add the followine wines to food purchased from Talen-Jei at the riften pub:
- Cliff Racer
- Velvet Lechance
- White Gold Tower
all restore 23 stamina
- They're listed at Skyrim:Potions (see also redirects at Cliff Racer, Velvet LeChance, and White-Gold Tower) based on the game's internal flag for food vs potion. Do they show up in your inventory listed under food or listed under potions? --NepheleTalk 22:49, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
-
- They should be listed under potions, and they restore 25 points of stamina, not 23. (May be a bug) — Unsigned comment by 94.10.155.87 (talk) at 19:15 on 13 December 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Selling food items
There's quite a few NPCs around who will happily pay gold for some of the food items (cabbage & potatos mostly), would it be worth adding them to the article? Roboe 22:51, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
- see Gather Wheat. (Eddie The Head 03:11, 17 December 2011 (UTC))
[edit] Restore Health over duration not working
After someone pointed out, that the 720s Restore Health of Venison Stew is not working, I increased the regeneration rate with SkyEdit to 30 points a second. It seems that this had no effect at all. So my suspicion is that the whole effect is not working. --Killfetzer 08:10, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Confirmed when testing a food mod and the console commands health regeneration set to zero. None of the Restore Health effects over time of Venison stew, or Vegetable Soup work. The Restore Stamina is there in some singular capacity though. Fix it by using the Creation Kit and change FoodRestoreHealthDuration similar to FoodRestoreStaminaDuration effect. The only change was to the magic effect 'FoodRestoreHealthDuration' change variable name reference from 'HealthRateMult' to selection 'Health' (parallel FoodRestoreStaminaDuration scheme). — Unsigned comment by 174.71.2.2 (talk) at 13:57 on 15 February 2012
[edit]
I see the notes to Jessica's Wine tells it is related to the quest Laid to Rest, but I can see no connection after having both finished the quest and searched through the whole of UESP. (And even after having googling it extensively.) --MortenOSlash 19:21, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- The editorID for the wine is MS14WineAltoA. All quest-related items in the game are given an editorID that starts with the ID of the quest, so the "MS14" is a clear reference to Laid to Rest. In other words, the item was added to the game solely because of that quest. The quest may have been subsequently changed, but I think the reason for the item's existence is still relevant. If nothing else, it narrows down the search for where to look for its purpose and the significance of "Jessica", even if the ultimate conclusion is that it has no purpose and there is no Jessica. --NepheleTalk 07:38, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- I guess it is a part of the quest, including a reference to a NPC "Jessica" omitted from the final release, then? --MortenOSlash 22:06, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Fresh meat
I may just be missing it, but I believe that the "Fresh meat" given to the player during "A Daedra's Best Friend" is missing from this list. 206.109.97.84 02:37, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- As far as I can tell, you're just given a Mammoth Snout, and that snout is listed in the Raw Meat section, as a second entry under the standard snout. --NepheleTalk 07:47, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- The item I got from Lod was also "Fresh Meat" in my inventory. There's no base ID for that, so it looks like it's taking the Mammoth Snout and renaming it with MESG e0d52. I'm not sure how to verify what it started as, but it seems likely enough. Is there a way to get the base ID directly from the ref ID, rather than searching via help? Well, other than the CK I suppose. Vardis 22:46, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Firebrand Wine & Cyrodilic Brandy
According to the beverages section, firebrand wine exists in bottle form, not just in the case. Are there any known locations? I need it for my beverage collection. Also, where can cyrodilic brandy be found? 98.244.13.11 10:04, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah where is the firebrand im looking everywhere for it. it would be more useful if there was a locations bar. — Unsigned comment by 66.82.162.10 (talk) at 21:30 on 16 January 2012
WHERE IS FIREBRAND WINE I NEED TO KNOW WHERE IT IS. DO ANY OF YOU EVEN KNOW? WHERE IS IT???? — Unsigned comment by 66.82.162.10 (talk) at 21:46 on 16 January 2012
- If you are looking for a "Firebrand Wine Case", see the associated questpage Scoundrel's Folly. The only appearance (not in a test cell) of a single bottle is in a cell called "Do Not Delete - Not A Test Cell" with ID ThievesGuildHoldingCell. That cell contains several Thief Guild quest related items, that disappear from there when advancing through the quest line. So I'm not sure if there is a way to get that bottle somehow. --Alfwyn 14:58, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

- Cyrodilic Brandy is only referenced in the quest "On the way to the Wedding" with ID WEDL03, which seems to be a random world encounter. See Plautis Carvain and Salonia Carvain for a bit of information about it. --Alfwyn 15:10, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- You can pickpocket Plautis for the cyrodillic brandy but only if you have not yet killed the dragon on Mount Anthor. Has anyone figured out what triggers Firebrand wine to leave that cell and where it goes?99.29.164.65 18:09, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Elsweyr Fondue?
On my game, elsweyr fondue gives 25 PERCENT bonus to magicka regeneration, not 25 units of magicka regeneration. Would someone mind checking this? — Unsigned comment by 129.72.136.202 (talk) at 01:20 on 24 January 2012
- They mean the same thing. A point of Regenerate Magicka refers to a percentage point. You may be thinking of Restore Magicka, which would be 25 points of magicka restored per second. -Vardis 02:40, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Dragon's Breath Mead
For us console users, are there any useful landmarks we can use to find the wilderness bottle NNE of Bruca's Leap Redoubt? Unfortunately, the coordinates don't translate to PS3 play. Thanks in advance.71.224.13.163 06:22, 17 February 2012 (UTC)Marcus
Never mind. I found the right place (rock overhang guarded by three wolves). Apparently, the bottle doesn't exist until the quest initiates.(PS3 user)71.224.13.163 16:31, 17 February 2012 (UTC)Marcus
[edit] Soup Icons Bug
I have installed Hearthfire on PC, and I am not getting the new models for the already existing soups in the original game. I am wondering if this should be added as a possible bug, and if so, whether it should go in this article or the Hearthfire main page. As far as I can tell, I'm not running any mods that affect food items, although I did recently uninstall one. --Kozol (talk) 00:53, 19 October 2012 (GMT)
- I'm guessing this is a bug, and should be added to this page if it's not because of a mod. However, sometimes mods which don't *seem* to affect certain types of items will have unintended effects, so it may help to disable *all* user mods to see if the issue is fixed. Also, I think I saw a report somewhere about a texture mod causing unintended issues, so there's a more specific idea of where to look if you've got one. — ABCface◥ 06:59, 19 October 2012 (GMT)
-
- Quick update: I just started a clean save with all mods disabled, and the icons actually showed up fine. It seems that this is not a bug after all, and I appear to have some work to do. Also, thanks for the tip on the texture mods; I'll start experimenting with those first.--Kozol (talk) 16:39, 20 October 2012 (GMT)
[edit] Sources...
"Sources: X guaranteed samples...in Y different locations, most notably <non-respawning area>" -WTF? The entry for raw beef marks the most notable location to find it as Japhet's Folly. However, this is an area that never respawns, so it's worthless as a long-term source of the item. I submit that a reference to somewhere that respawns would be more useful despite lower yield per trip. I don't know what the replacement location might be, though. — Unsigned comment by 67.71.128.222 (talk) at 04:39 on 14 January 2013
[edit] Meat Pies introduced in Dragonborn?
After I've completed the DLC i've noticed 2 'Meat Pies' under the Food section of my inventory. I dont know where I got them but they have a new model and I cant remember seeing them before... — Unsigned comment by 91.41.137.163 (talk) at 15:56 on 8 February 2013
- Those "Meat Pie"s are added by the Unofficial Skyrim Patch v1.2.3 , originally to fix an instance during a bard quest where apple pies are referred to as meat pies, but added to a regular leveled list too. --Alfwyn (talk) 16:47, 8 February 2013 (GMT)
[edit] Snowberries
I believe that Snowberries are also accounted for as raw food, at least according to the Snowberries page and I can sell them to innkeepers and Elrindir in the Drunken Huntsman. --81.225.78.221 17:17, 24 February 2013 (GMT)
