[edit] TOR Node that made it through
It may just be a case of luck where the node made it through before the list was updated, but can you check on 173.254.216.69 when you get a chance and make sure it's in our TOR blocked list. As you can see here, it is on the TOR exit nodes list, but the user has now made two edits (albeit two months apart), so I would've thought that IP would be blocked. – Robin Hood↝talk 19:19, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Helping Out
Just been updating pages as I come across them for the moment, but thought I'd ask if anything specific needs to be done? The 'To-do' list for the site is pretty small for the moment. Happy to help! D521talk 15:12, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
- If you'd like, you could check out some of the locations on this page. While the locations need to be written by a PC user, the descriptions could be better, and for some of them, the cell can be found but not the encounter. Additionally, Shadowmarks could use some information--what the loot or danger is, who the Fence is, why it's protected or safe, etc.
- If you have Dawnguard, I'm fairly certain our pages on that are lacking at the moment. And, since you've got Morrowind as well, I personally think that namespace could use some tidying up, from what little I've seen of it. Vely►t►e 15:26, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

- Yeah I have Dawnguard, but most of the problems lie in that I'm on the 360 not the PC lol. Working on getting a copy though, so if I do be happy to help once I re-learn the CS. Been trying to update everything DG as I come across it, as I can't find a list of things that need worked on. Also no honest clue what a namespace is... D521talk 15:32, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

- Namespaces are the Skyrim: and such you see before links. So the Morrowind namespace would be Morrowind:Article Name, etc. It helps to sort the information on the wiki.

[edit] #pickfrom not so random any more
Helenaannevalentine just discovered that, apparently since the 1.19 update, the #pickfrom function isn't working reliably any more. It only seems to fail to update on an actual page refresh - doing anything like purging or using Show Preview forces a refresh. Also, as I discovered in my testing, apparently using #pickfrom inside a #arg (as is done on my user page) also seems to force a refresh. – Robin Hood↝talk 02:42, 5 October 2012 (GMT)
[edit] Hello from a fellow Canadian!
I was thrilled to see that one of the more influential users of the UESPWiki was Canadian! There are apparently only 64 of us, according to our category. ): Hugs for you! GodRaineTalk 02:46, 8 March 2013 (GMT)
[edit] Heya Nephele
I've archived 2012 for you, well, most of it up until your last confirmed sighting. I also left it just as 2012 (no extra -07). It was very long, and most all of the issues have been resolved. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 00:40, 7 April 2013 (GMT)
[edit] NS_FULL Issue, Revisited
Hey Neph, I don't know if you're still monitoring your talk page, but I've been looking at making some modifications to UespCustomCode, and as I'm starting to familiarize myself with it a bit and setting up test cases, I bumped up against this old problem. Doing some research into it, I found a few things that you might find interesting.
First off, MediaWiki does indeed allow you a certain degree of control over the parsing of the results. See Controlling the parsing of output. Thinking I was onto something, I promptly started playing on my testing wiki, and discovered...pause for dramatic tension...nothing @!^%$% works! Gah! :) In each possible customization scenario, something causes problems.
Looking at the Parser.php code, however, a whole new—and stupidly simple—solution presented itself: prepend a space to the output. The parser code no longer sees it as starting with a colon, but constructs like [[{{NS_FULL:Main}}Main Page|Main Page]] don't mind the extra whitespace. If we're ever actually checking the name in a comparison, or displaying it, that could potentially cause problems, but if we assume that we're only ever using it in a link, that neatly works around some really idiotic coding in Parser.php Bug 529. Worst case scenario, if there's some reason we do need to have a space and non-space version, we can implement one magic word for each and let the template programmer figure out which one they need. – Robin Hood (talk) 06:15, 4 May 2013 (GMT)
