Divayth Fyr is an ancient Dunmer Sorcerer, over one thousand years old. He is a member of Great House Telvanni, though he generally stays out of House politics. Fyr lives in his tower of Tel Fyr on Azura's Coast.

Among other things, Divayth Fyr spends his time researching the Divine Disease, Corprus, and his Corprusarium is a refuge for anyone infected, including his oldest friend, Yagrum Bagarn, the last living Dwemer. Fyr lives with his four "daughters," Alfe, Beyte, Delte and Uupse Fyr, who are actually female clones of himself.

He takes a deep interest in Dwemer history, collecting many Dwemer artifacts. His luxurious care of Bagarn is a testament to his pursuits.

He is mentioned in the books The Doors of Oblivion and Varieties of Daedra, which imply that, before his interest in Corprus, he traveled to the Daedric planes of Oblivion.
