Related Quest[edit]

The process of making a game like Skyrim is not totally unlike the work going on here. A lot of testing and editing back and forth. In the process there will always be leftovers and bits and pieces that slips through the final cleanup. I highly suspect this is one of those. I noticed the instruction for adding related quests in the main article and I am fairly ceartin that she (in one way or another) is an artifact from the process of making the quest The Taste of Death . I don´t know if it is worth mentioning in the main article, and even less how to mention it. But I highly suspect that this is the connection between this NPC and a quest. --Middleofsweden 17:09, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

I just added it after reading this. You can look at the edit history to see exactly how it's done, but basically you just replace where it says "Quest Name" with the name of the quest (no underscores). Then delete the <!--Instructions--> that you see, so that it can be seen on the page. Sorry if my explanation sucks, haha, just trying to help. I learn a lot about doing things like this by simply trying something, then using 'Show preview' to see if it worked or not. If it doesn't, try something else, and keep doing that til ya get it right. Or, find another page with something similar to what you want to do, and copy/paste the formatting but replace the actual information. Does that make sense? I suck at explaining things, sorry if that just makes it more confusing. You can ask one of the mentors for help too, of course. They'd probably be more help than me! My non-expert guess is that this NPC might be an obsolete bit of quest coding. Oblivion engine required NPCs for speech (so you had talking NPCs that didn't actually get shown in game proper, like Ron the Narrator in Fallout:NV). At some point they implemented voices that exist without associated NPCs (like Night Mother). Namira became one of these, but the hidden NPC was left behind. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 14:45, 6 July 2012 (UTC)
