East of Gallows Rock |
Mara's Eye Pond is a small lake due east of Gallows Rock.
There is an island in the center of the lake that hides a trapdoor, which is the entrance to Mara's Eye Den, a cave inhabited by leveled vampires. Quests pointing to this location will lead you down into the cave under the lake.
Gallows Hall is on the northern side of the pond.

Walkthrough[edit]
Mara's Pond[edit]
There are two iron ore veins and a corundum ore vein near the shore, to the north, south, and west-southwest respectively. A clay deposit(HF) can be found by the edge of the water to the west. Several mudcrabs call this home, both around the shore and on the island in the middle. Strangely there are no plants that can be harvested growing along the shoreline around the lake. To the east is a cart containing a crate (and a bottle of skooma), with a second crate on the ground next to it. On the island there is a large rotten tree stump with a mora tapinella fungus growing on it and inside it there is the trapdoor entrance to Mara's Eye Den. There is a small rowboat pulled up on the island shore, with a crate, a food sack, and an oar onboard.
Notes[edit]
- Mara's Eye Pond is a reliable source of Goldfish for Catch of the Day and Bounty: Goldfish! as a walk through the waters can net you between 3-6 of the flaxen fish.
- The pond gets its name from the way it looks from above. The pond is the shape of an eye and the small island in the middle, Mara's Eye, resembles a pupil.
- This location is only marked as cleared once you also clear Mara's Eye Den.
