Enchanting description: Target takes <mag> points of frost damage to Health and Stamina.

Frost Damage is one of the three elemental damage effects available from the school of Destruction. In addition to damaging health, Frost Damage also drains the target's stamina, usually by the same amount as the Health damage dealt, and slows movement.

There are 57 distinct magical effects that cause frost damage in some form or another. This allows the game to use different visual effects for various types of frost damage, and also is one way that side-effects of the frost are customized. Other side-effects of frost spells are implemented by including multiple effects into a single spell.

Enchanting

The following items use this effect. You can learn how to enchant custom items with Frost Damage if you find one of the following items and disenchant it:

• All weapons of Chills
• All weapons of Cold
• All weapons of Frost
• All weapons of Ice
• All weapons of Freezing
• All weapons of Blizzards
• All weapons of Winter
• Aegisbane
• Eduj
• Firiniel's End
• Grimsever
• Okin

Artifacts and unique items that use the effect but cannot be disenchanted include:

• Nightingale Bow
• The Pale Blade

Weapons that inflict Frost Damage but use a different variant of the magical effect include:

• Chillrend
• Staff of the Frost Wall
• Staff of Frostbite
• Staff of Icy Spear
• Staff of Ice Spikes
• Staff of Ice Storms

Notes

• Frost spells will freeze the terrain, slow down the enemy, and deal 1 point of damage like fire effect.
