The Pale Lady is a bloodthirsty female Dunmer vampire who can be found hiding out beneath the Skingrad Castle. Taking advantage of a secret passageway, she regularly feeds on prisoners in the Skingrad jail cells. She does not offer any services, is always hostile towards the player, and is killed during the Lost Histories quest. It is not revealed whether Count Hassildor is aware of her presence in the castle.
Other than the Skingrad prisoners, the only person who noteably knows about the Pale Lady is the Skingrad Jailor. If asked about the Pale Lady, he will say: :Mina? You don't want to go asking about her. She... um... interviews prisoners. She isn't one to be crossed.
[edit] Notes
- Mina is the name of one of the major characters in Bram Stoker's Dracula.
[edit] Bugs
- Although she was only supposed to be enabled during the Lost Histories quest, due to a bug in Amusei's scripting she will appear before this if the player happens to enter the secret passage in the Skingrad Castle Wine Cellar, and will inevitably fight the player to the death. This won't cause any problems with the Lost Histories quest, other than continuity errors, such as how she was able to imprison Amusei when she was already dead.
This bug is fixed by the Unofficial Oblivion Patch.
