The OXM Challenge for Morrowind is a save file that could be downloaded for the Xbox version of the game. It was distributed on a demo disc that was included with the 24th issue of the Official Xbox Magazine in November 2003. The challenge was called Treasure Hunt and had the following description:

Four objects belonging to the OXM staff are hidden on a small island. Check the disc pages for challenge details!

The save file can be downloaded here.

Challenge[edit]

Loading up the save will put you in control of a level 26 Nord named Phantom. He has a custom Magic Thief Warrior class and is in possession of nothing but an Icebreaker mace, a set of expensive robes, shirt, pants, and shoes, and 1,789 gold. He is located on a small island in the Bitter Coast containing the Sarys Ancestral Tomb and the slaver hideout of Aharunartus. The only hint you are provided with is that the four items you seek are located on the island.

The challenge could be completed by taking a screenshot of the four items in your inventory and submitting it to OXM in return for 5,000 Challenge Points. This was part of an ongoing series of challenges being run by the magazine at the time.

Treasure Hunt Locations[edit]

The four items you must find are custom enchanted items that have been hidden throughout the island. Each item has been named after an OXM staffer. They are as follows:

Save File[edit]

The save is titled "OXM CHALLENGE". Its file size is 2.27 MB (150 blocks on Xbox) and it was created on 25 August, 2003.

Note that the save was created using vanilla Morrowind. As a result, you will need to sit through a long loading screen when loading it for the first time with Tribunal installed. This is due to the Parse Quests function that must be run to enable Tribunal's new journal system.
