[edit] Starting Again
You've had some problems here so far. I don't know exactly what you've done because other people have handled it, so if you need some help please ask me because I'll offer whatever advice I can with an open mind. Please be aware that I live in the UK so my active hours might not fit with yours. rpeh •T•C•E• 22:47, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
[edit] So Called Vandalism
I would like to offer some advice. Avoid calling edits like this vandalism. The IP gave a clear reason, and I actually agree with him/her. Their IP contributions show no signs of previous vandalism either. Please consider the best way to word your reversion. I've had a few problems with that in the past, but those phrases, like vandalism, carry heavy weight on a wiki. Thanks! --DKong27 Tk Ctr Em 02:44, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- ok thanks for the info, I wasn't exactly sure if I should have reverted it or not, I should have asked one of you guys about it but I went with my gut that time because removing an entire paragraph from a page is kinda suspicious, and also I'm sorry for the edit summary. — Unsigned comment by Honda1996 (talk • contribs) at 10:44 on 25 August 2011
[edit] Warnings
I've moved your block message to User talk:Honda1996/Warnings. This was done as a courtesy to get the message off your talk page. Please don't edit that page. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 00:34, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
- ok thanks
[edit] Warning
![]() |
You have been warned many times that you are not to continue your disruptive behavior. Your constant reverting on many articles and total disregard for UESPWiki procedures and consensus will no longer be tolerated. If you continue to abuse your editing privileges, this you will be blocked from editing. —elliot (talk) 20:35, 1 October 2011 (UTC) |
You made three reverts to Lore:Vivec (god) within a period of thirty minutes, which is grounds for immediate blocking (per 3RR). Luckily for you Elliot warned you first, and that seems to have been enough to get you stop the edit war. On the other hand, Elliot only made a single revert to that article, and therefore giving him a warning is completely inappropriate. Could you please focus on ways to make constructive contributions to the wiki instead of continuing to engage in disruptive, immature behavior? --NepheleTalk 20:53, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
I have a question do you think it is okay that a 20 year old is bullying a autistic 15 year old? just saying — Unsigned comment by Honda1996 (talk • contribs) on 1 October 2011
- The immediate problem here is your edit warring, which is making it impossible for other members of the community to be productive. You're not even giving people a chance to respond to you or otherwise start a discussion. Please learn to take a break from wiki editing when you get upset, instead of disrupting the site. --NepheleTalk 21:08, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Blocked
![]() |
This account has been blocked from editing UESPWiki for 24 hours for edit warring, especially immediately after being warned to stop edit warring on another page. —NepheleTalk 21:08, 1 October 2011 (UTC) |
I was just trying to protect the vivec article and it's inspirational quotes but no someone had to go push my buttons and that sent me into a rage but the first warning is what really set it off, I want into such a rage I didn't know what I was doing anymore but I am sorry to all my fellow editors for impeding progress but please just spare the one quotes I kept on the page from my own punishment — Unsigned comment by Honda1996 (talk • contribs) at 22:17 on 1 October 2011 (GMT)
- Hi, I sort of missed all of the fuss, but I just wanted to say that I understand. I don't know how bad your autism is, but I'm most likely slightly/medium autistic as well (I'll be tested soon), and anger issues can be pretty bad I know. However, I use this to my advantage, getting all important details and getting all things just right. Rules are very important, you're likely to have your own weird rules like I do, but I'm flexible when it comes to other rules, and that means I follow those rules to the letter as much as I can. This being a community, it is important to listen to what other people think is right, and there's always someone going to disagree. Undoing people's edits again and again is going to make you look bad, no matter what the cause (unless it's undoing vandalism of course). Best thing to do is put that anger (I haven't gotten angry about something here, but you apparently just have) on the related talk page in a polite manner, simply stating that you completely disagree with all your heart (there's nothing more you can actually do than that), and wait until someone comes along and agrees with you, like me. Maybe the quotes don't belong on the Lore page, but they definitely belong somewhere. What I'm probably trying to do here, and what I think you need to hear is that, even though it seems everyone is against you, that is not true, and you're not the only one who thinks the quotes should stay.
- Sorry I keep on rambling, but I just felt I had to tell you that. You're just making a big deal out of this, and it really isn't, trust me. I just hope that this silly thing isn't going to drive you away from the wiki ~ Dwarfmp 03:01, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
It is completely fine that you were rambling since you have shown me something that I now understand and now I swear that I'm going to take a few week break from editing on the wiki and look over the archives of the administrative noticeboard to understand the politics of the wiki to a greater extent, so that I may come back and be a better editor and review the most controversial case that this wiki aka sock puppeting, and then go through it step by step and understand it all and I also swear that I offer my most since apologies to elliot and everyone else after I've seen what he has gone through on this wiki and his involvement with that case, yes it may seem like useless rambling but I've said my part so good night— Unsigned comment by Honda1996 (talk • contribs) at 12:32 on 2 October 2011 (GMT)
[edit] Listen, Honda...
No hard feelings about what happened yesterday, right? We all lose our temper, because we're all only human, and therefore prone to mistake. I cant speak for the other editors involved, but I bear you no grudge, and I hope that the incident hasn't discouraged you from editing the wiki. What happened in the past should stay in the past, so take a break and come back with a fresh attitude =) Kitkat xxx •Talk•Contrib•E-mail 22:18, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you Kitkat, I don't hold any hard feelings or grudges against any editor on the wiki because you guys were just doing you job and yes I will be taking a break for a while to review my thoughts and look over some info on this fine wiki and then I will come back with a fresh attitude — Unsigned comment by Honda1996 (talk • contribs) at 04:37 on 3 October 2011 (GMT)
[edit] Fixed error
Hey, I just noticed in my history that you "fixed error" on my talk page, just wanted to say thanks, I know it was reverted and it said "do not edit other people's user accounts" but I just want you to now that I dont mind. What was the the mistake by the way? RIM 20:47, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
- oh that, the word melee was misspelled, so I fixed it then it got reverted Honda1996 21:31 4 October 2011
- I dont mind other people editing my talk page if it's just for spelling mistakes so thanks:) RIM 21:39, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well that edit was probably reverted because you edited RIM's post (I don't know which edit we're talking about). You can't edit, even to correct, someone else's post. I don't think I really need to explain why. It's the same reason why we use 'sic' tags on ingame descriptions etc. Natural stuff. Don't feel like explaining :P ~ Dwarfmp 02:18, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
- I dont mind other people editing my talk page if it's just for spelling mistakes so thanks:) RIM 21:39, 4 October 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Legoless' Admin Nomination
Can I maybe ask you to change your wording a bit in Legoless' Admin Nomination. I think "hate on" is a bit strong, and those who have voted neutral or oppose haven't expressed any kind of disrespect, only a little reservation. In the end, it's your choice, of course...I'd just feel a lot more comfortable patrolling it if the language weren't so strong. – Robin Hood↝talk 04:31, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Typo
Pst, that RfA is about Dwarfmp, not Krusty. You might want to tweak your vote a bit. --Alfwyn 12:04, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
- I think you can hardly call it a typo, unless you conveniently spell Krusty by typing my name wrongly. Since I replied to it, it's too late to just change it though! ~ Dwarfmp 15:08, 23 February 2012 (UTC)
oh god im sorry Dwarfmp, i accidentally put krusty instead of your name, sorry :(
[edit] Assume good faith
Hey, can you Assume Good Faith and not hand out warnings for possibly innocent edits which may be talking about game bugs? The Messages page has some preset messages aside from warnings, including simple "advice" sections about nonsense; those messages are a lot nicer to give and usually a better choice if you're not 100% certain that an edit was made in bad faith. Thanks. Vely►t►e 15:37, 5 September 2012 (EDT)
