The Royal Guard are sworn to serve and protect King Helseth and the royal family from all harm. They are led by Captain Tienius Delitian. There are only two ranks in the Royal Guard, Guard and Captain. All members are of the Guard rank except for Tienius. They all wear the distinctive red Royal Guard Armor. You will be given a set of this armor after completing the Tribunal Main Quest.
