Mistveil Keep in Riften

Mistveil Keep is the castle of the Rift, at the southern end of Riften. Its grand stone walls stand out from Riften's wooden buildings and walkways.

Mistveil Keep is home to Jarl Laila Law-Giver, her steward Anuriel, and her housecarl Unmid Snow-Shod. Laila's sons, Harrald and Saerlund, and her absent-minded court wizard, Wylandriah, can also be found here.

If the Imperial Legion gains control of the Rift, Maven Black-Briar will become the Jarl, with her son Hemming as her steward and Maul as her housecarl. Laila Law-Giver, Anuriel and Unmid Snow-Shod will be exiled to Windhelm's Palace of the Kings.
