A Werewolf

Werewolves are monstrous, wolf-like creatures. They are taller and broader than man and mer, and are capable of moving on two limbs or sprinting on all four. They have a weakness to poisons, but are incredibly strong, and very fast. You can become a werewolf if infected. This unlocks the ability to transform, as well as an associated Lycanthropy skill line. For more information, see the lore page.

A werewolf can be found inside Mist Morrow Tower, leading the Wildmen and women who live there. It is the only transformed werewolf in the area: all the other werewolves are in their human form, and only transform during combat.

Werewolves also live up on the hill west of Kerbol's Hollow. The stronger werewolves have more health and grey pelts, and are usually not far from weaker wolves, which have black pelts. The weaker werewolves can howl to empower themselves, allowing them to deal more damage. When they do this, their veins glow red and show from beneath their torso and arms.

Quest-Related Events[edit]

The captive werewolf during "Lineage of Tooth and Claw"

Back-Alley Murders[edit]

A white werewolf is found in the river near Daggerfall Cathedral's graveyard. It stalks the alleys to hunt, killing, but not eating, anyone it finds. It just so happens that the poor of Daggerfall tend to live in the alleys, so they've been its primary source of prey. You will need to slay it to stop the killings.

Lineage of Tooth and Claw[edit]

A captured werewolf is used in a blood ritual that allows you and Gloria Fausta to see a vision of Angof the Gravesinger and Faolchu the Reborn. After you witness the vision, he'll mock you.

Werewolf: "Fools! Your Duke has been blessed with Hircine's Curse! He will destroy everything he loves."
Werewolf: "You have failed! Angof has sealed your fate."

Method and Madness[edit]

Werewolves can be found in the Stone Garden, often lead by larger Packleaders. They were sent to Arkasis at the behest of his patron.

They can often be found crouching in higher up areas, and jump down when enemies are being fought. They are not leashed, and may stay wherever the last battle took place (including right next to the respawn wayshrine, instantly engaging in combat if they end up there).
