Before the quest you'll find Plays at the Pact camp:

"Our waters run dry and I despair. We cannot hold back the giants much longer."

Later at the summit, you'll find him and two other mages around a ritual cirlcle:

"Ssk! We are being overrun by a plague of dead giants, a curse of the Worm Cultists."

How can I help?

"Kill their Spirit Healer, Kerelia Lucullus. Her power enables them to summon the giants."

I'll see what I can do.

"Seek out the Cultist Summoner atop the dais. The evil flows from there."

Take care of the summoner and speak to him again:

"Ah, peace at last. Or as peaceful as the Rift can be nowadays. I feared the giants would never leave us alone."

But they will now?

"Yes. Without the Spirit Healer's control, the giants will no longer seek us out. I extend my gratitude."

If you speak to him after the quest, he expresses his relief.

"It's a relief not to have to dodge flying boulders anymore."
