[edit] Items not disappearing after 3 days?
Its weird, in my game items left on the ground DO NOT disappear after 3 days, or ever. Here's some examples. In Leyawiin just outside my house I dropped a few random items at least 100 in game days ago. I HAVE NOT VISITED LEYAWIIN SINCE THEN. Just now I went there to check something and the items are still laying there. Its not just Leyawiin either. In the Arcane University I left a mythic dawn hood on the ground a Looooong time ago, and like Leyawiin, I haven't been there in well over 3 days. The hood is still there. What could be causing the items to not disappear? Windwakr 00:38, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- Items left on the ground never disappear; it's not a glitch. --NepheleTalk 08:20, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- You're thinking of items in containers respawning after three days. --Darkheart 18:11, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
- Hmmm, I was misinformed. Thanks for the answers. Windwakr 18:20, 8 August 2009 (UTC)
- Are we absolutely sure that items left on the ground never disappear? Because I've actually seen that happen. I was attacked by marauders outside Sercen while riding a severely injured horse (two mountain lions attacked on the way down from Bruma). Because I was near full encumbrance already, I made for Vilverin in the hopes of getting the horse out of danger before dismounting, but ran into three mud crabs and a wolf and was forced to detour to avoid them, which enabled the marauders to catch up. I left the horse out of range and raced back to tackle the marauders. When I killed them, they dropped the first Elven weapons and armor I had ever seen, but in my encumbered state I couldn't pick them up. I took the horse to IC, unloaded most of the loot I was carrying, and slept (mostly so the horse would heal). I had to end my session there, but when I came back the next day, reloaded the save, and returned to the marauder corpses, they were stripped of all weapons and armor. There were no Elven items either in my inventory or my stash in IC, and I could not have picked them up the day before and therefore could not have "accidentally" sold them. Therefore, they disappeared while lying on the ground. At the time, I assumed that this was part of the game (Neverwinter Nights has a feature where items left on the ground evaporate over time due to "scavengers" looting in your absence), but this is the second time in this wiki that I've heard items don't disappear from the ground. So did I experience a freak glitch, or is it merely an untested assumption that items don't disappear when dropped on the ground? Phelaran 22:31, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
- It might be that you saw the loot bag "glitch" that isnt a glitch. The first time that happened to me I thought it was a glitch. It's on the bottom of the main page.--ACGrecor 01:12, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

- Be aware that the items not disappearing mostly concern items dropped by you (not an NPC who dropped a weapon on dying). That might explain why the items were missing. There have been reports of items falling through the floor (not happening outside though), but I have yet to see this happen for myself.
- The dropped items not disappearing is not simply an assumption, but rather a behaviour that has been observed by various players. --Timenn-<talk> 08:13, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- Items dropped by enemies have always disappeared on me, while Items I picked up and then dropped again would stay indefinitely. In my current game Rockmilk Cave is full of Dwarven Cuirasses I've strewn about about ten runs of the cave before, but the daggers and bows enemies drop have not been left. Sometimes NPCs can take fallen items though. Especially weapons, if a fight breaks out nearby. Griffinsong 09:40, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
- This is likely because items dropped by NPCs are associated with that particular NPC, and so disappear when that character disappears. If the player were to ever be disabled (Which crashes the game, but this is hypothetically speaking) all items dropped by the player character all across Tamriel would disappear as well. --Darkheart 16:38, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
- Well since posting that, I have learned how to turn clipping off, so I can go look and see if items are falling through the ground. Generally, this is what's happening, even outside. However, if I save, quit and reload, items that have fallen through the ground or floor are usually gone, whether the corpses remain or not. Even patching to the latest official patch doesn't prevent this from happening, and often items that I see on the ground will vanish if I rest or sleep near them. That is, items dropped by NPCs, not by myself. In addition, the corpses themselves are fully or partially falling through the ground, even outside. In dungeons, especially, saving and then reloading a game while standing next to a fresh corpse will enable me to see as it "melts" through the floor; I can then turn collision off and still access the corpse if needed. Once on the road to Skingrad I found that a Legionnaire, his horse, and Elragail had all been killed by persons or creatures unknown. All three corpses were visible only from the waist down (with the legs lying straight out on the ground), but the upper portion (or the head and neck in the case of the horse) were hanging upside down through the ground, viewable only by turning collision off and descending through the surface. Does the unofficial patch fix this? Because I really don't like using tcl (feels like cheating) to get items that are mine anyway, and the weirdness with the corpses is immersion-shattering. (outdent) Sadly, it's not fixed by the UOP, nor could it be. It's a game engine bug - things just have a habit of falling through the floor. I've had it happen both inside and outside - and like you, I've dropped items on the floor because I was over-encumbered, only to find they had disappeared when I returned. Weapons & shields carried by opponents are the worst 'offenders', though. I've found that if you kill an opponent while they are either staggered or knocked down, there is a high probability that either their weapon or shield (or both) will fall through the floor. I've also seen corpses partially submerged (example), which again is due to a bug in the game engine - I think it has trouble resolving the Z-coordinates of objects when they are on the ground. --Gaebrial 06:39, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Thieves Guild Quest: The Elven Maiden glitch
During this quest you need to steal the bust of Llathasa for Armand Cristophe. When you get back you see gaurds all over the waterfront looking for Armand because they believe he took the bust. You find out from Methredhel that the whole plan was to lure out a spy in the thieves guild named Myvrynra Arano. This works but now you need to plant the bust in her cupboard and tell Lex to come with you and see for himself. For some people she is not home and when lex walks in he goes to the cupboard, gets the bust, and says something like "You were right, the bust is....." and abruptly walks out the door leaving you in video mode and unable to move. Previously this glitch was thought to be un-fixable on the XBOX 360 and PS3 but there is now a solution for it on all systems. If you want to know where she is, she decided to go to Skingrad and walk in the Summitmist Manor. This can only happen after you have completed the Dark Brotherhood quest "Whodunit?". The only reason that this is such a bad thing is that any NPC that walks in there thinks that the door is locked!!! I mean any NPC when I say it, gaurds and all. Now back to the part where you're stuck. All you need to solve this problem is patience, about 35 minutes of it. All of a sudden after about half an hour to 45 minutes the quest will update and you can move on with the rest of the game. This is because Lex ran all the way to the manor to arrest her which means Lex is stuck too now but when you do the next quest for the thieves guild they will both glitch back to where they are supposed to be. I know this is long but I hope it helps. 173.59.222.149 19:50, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] pick up and drop item glitch
when I pick up an item or get an item I have to save and load to get it to proprelly add to my inventory (unless it's misc) and sometimes if I drop something it doesn't appear on the ground please help me.
[edit] Spells have disappeared
I have a weird bug. For some reason, most of my spells no longer appear on the spell list. I know they are still technically "there" because they are still assigned to my hotkeys and I can use them perfectly fine from there. However, all but two actual spells have disappeared (Star of the West and Burning Touch). I was doing "The Noble's Daughter" quest when I realised this, and I'm not sure what to do. The last solid save (in which they are still definitely there) was quite awhile back so I don't want to just resort to that. I could use the console I suppose, but I want to see if anyone has any ideas first? --82.12.245.37 19:18, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
- It sounds to me like your game has become corrupt...you may have to go back to the really old save. There's nothing in a normal game that would cause spells to disappear. It could also be a mod if you're on the PC and are using them. Several mods add some form of spell-deletion facility. --Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 01:08, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- Could this also be a symptom of the reference bug? I heard a lot about spells disappearing being an effect of that. --Darkheart 01:25, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] new glitch found aug 9, 2009
looked all over for this glitch but couldnt find it anywhere, it makes it to where you keep all enchantments on a shield without wearing the shield. first you collect as many shields as you want and have them in inventory, get dispel spell, get bound shield spell, and bound more than one weapon(for 2 seconds preferably, and where it makes you wield a bow and have other weapon in inventory where you can drop it). weild a sword or axe, use bound shield then bound stuff(more than one weapon), right as you bound stuff before the time runs out go to menus and equip a shield, you should have the bound shield and equiped shield equip, then dispel, then you can repeat as much as possible, but the defence only relies on the last shield you equip, you cannot put a shield on that you have already done the glitch on. found this glitch while trying to get the bound shield unequiped but did it wrong, enchantments will stay on even if shields arent in inventory
[edit] Inability to enter any Names or Tags
Inability to enter any names or tags to any potions and spells enchanted items you make also because of this you will be unable to make spells enchanted items in the arcane university. On the Xbox360 this will appear as you press the A button the folder will momentarily appear then immediately disappear before you can input a name there are no known fixes Google search returns no answers if I am mistaken please correct me. Pleases forgive the poor punctuation.
[edit] Creepy Graphical/Display Glitch
I just discovered an odd glitch involving the corpses of two bandits. There were two female bandits in the small area between Fort Nomore and Reedstand Cave, a Khajiit bandit and a wood elf bandit bowman. I killed them and went exploring nearby areas for a while. When I came back I found them still dead but standing up with their eyes open and arms extended to either side, as if they were crucified. I could also step through them as if they weren't there, but when I hit them with my sword, they fell down again like they should have been. Ongar the World-Weary 02:11, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Something similar happened to me during the Hermaeus Mora quest. When I went to the Shrine of Namira and killed the priestess (I wanted to steal the souls of those who wouldn't report the crime) she was still standing, dead, glaring forward. When I used the pick-up command she fell to the ground the way she was supposed to. It was a little unsettling, sort of like the occassional thing where the NPC stands too close when you speak to them and you can see all the way through their skull.
- yea there's a special dwarwen armor i had when i drop it floats with arm stretching out too. when this happens REVERT SAVE chances are the game will crash soon
- I also had the same thing happen with a dead mud crab, except its limbs were separated at the joints! It looked like some weird freak of nature, a giant crab-thing with floating leg sections. When I slashed it, it went back to normal. Ongar the World-Weary 07:05, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Corner of the room turns red when summoning creatures
A discovered a minor color glitch while in my bedroom in Rosethorn Hall. I was raising my hand-to-hand skill, so I went to the corner of the room on the right side of the bed and kept summoning liches, where I would use them as punching bags. That area of the room gradually became redder and redder, until it was as if an Oblivion gate had opened up there. When I left the room and came back, it was back to normal. Ongar the World-Weary 02:21, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
And it was not blood. The blood quickly faded away as usual. This is a glitch where the light in the room actually turns red. Ongar the World-Weary 07:13, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Kvatch Cuirass Glitch
I had this problem on the 360 where whenever I put a different Cuirass on, the Kvatch Cuirass would disappear out of my inventory. It happened more than once. 68.113.150.31 03:19, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Duplicate Zero-Weight Items
This doesnt work for me. I don't get a 'usual' message saying you can 'only put zero weight items in', I get one saying 'You cannot put items into a container whilst pickpocketing'. Zero weight or otherwise.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.165.219.25 (talk • contribs) on 14:53, 22 August 2009.
- That's actually the standard message you get when pickpocketing. Normally, zero-weight items get placed in the NPC's inventory without displaying the message, whereas anything with weight will display the message. --Darth NANAME 14:57, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
But I still get the message when I do try to put zero weight items in the NPC's container.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.165.219.25 (talk • contribs) on 23 August 2009.
[edit] Question About The Duplication Glitch (arrows)
It won't let me duplicate anything that has less than 100 health. How can I fix this? 67.174.94.95 21:40, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
- Probably because items with less than 100 "health" don't "stack" in your inventory, and that duplicate glitch is a "stacking" glitch. Why is this a problem for you? Just repair (or have repaired) whatever you want to duplicate to 100. (Clarification: I've discovered that sometimes they will stack with identical health less than 100 -- not sure why it's only occasionally, though. Likewise, items with 125 health will stack only two deep in your inventory. Part of me wonders whether or not this is a side-effect of the "fix" for the glitch.)--ACGrecor 00:44, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- If you use the scroll duplication glitch, items with less than 100 health may be duplicated, although it doesnt work as often, and the weapons cant be broken completely.
[edit] Duplicating Quest Items
Right so you can duplicate quest items. You make a clone of yourself with quest item, kill clone, wait till quest is finished then loot the clone of items. One does this work. Two when i tried this i came across two problems, some items, like the dreamworld amulet didnt carry over to the clones inventory, also the items in his inventory were still quest items, but i assume that if you picked up the item after you completed the quest it would loose its scripting. If some one knows the answers to this question could the mail me callum.Handyside@gmail.com thank you.
- It's not really a good glitch; it depends on another glitch. --Darkheart 00:57, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Merchants sometimes follow you around when invisible.
I am using 125% chameleon. Most of the time, when I am sneaking around stores, the merchants will follow me around corners as if they could see me.
- It is because they are programmed to do so, no matter how much Chameleon you use. However, you can still steal all their items, as long as you remain undetected - because, even if they are following you, they can't see you. It's not a bug - it's just game mechanics. -- Krusty 08:38, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Shield Glitch
When I have a shield equipped, I cant block with it however, all the one-handed weapons/Two-handed weapons still blocked...and when i try to block with the shield in 1st person view I cant move...need help to check if this is a permanent glitch or just a temporary glitch —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.160.241.5 (talk • contribs) on 19:26, 11 September 2009.
- I had the same thing happen to me, except it was where I couldn't use any power attacks with my sword. I simply saved the game, restarted my PS3, loaded the saved game, and it worked again. (You have to actually restart the PS3, not just simply reload the save without restarting it.) Ongar the World-Weary 07:10, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] freeze
my game keeps on freezing, is my 360 gonna rrod or is it cache? how do i fix it? it mainly freezes on load screen
Oh dude that same thing happened to me but I stoped playing of for a while bkuz I gave up trying, then after I think a month, I got bored n tried to play it. It worked fine. Try not to play it for about a week or a week n half. I'm not sure y that happens but I'm guessing it's just overplay of the game.
[edit] Dead NPCs
Twice in different games I've come across dead NPCs who should be alive. The first was a named Dark Elf (long ago) just outside the Imperial City who had apparently fallen off the bridge. The second happened today in Chorrol, where I found Casta Scribonia dead in the street. Does anyone know why this happens? 92.4.121.29 17:41, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Any NPC who is not essential can be killed at any time, just like the player. Many are killed by wilderness creatures or fights with guards. It's not a glitch--it's just part of the game. –Eshetalk 17:52, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- But why would she be killed? She has no reason to be attacked by the guards and there are no wild animals inside a city. 92.4.121.29 18:16, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- The NPCs in Oblivion are famous for their "radiant" fitsts of stupidity.(walking off bridges or cliffs, fighting Guards barefisted just because they like the guy the Guards are fighting, etc) --Debatra 21:11, 29 September 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Levitating horse glitch
This has to be a glitch, but I haven't found any info on it and I can't be the only one experiencing it. If I mount a horse while within 10 units of being overencumbered, and then dismount the horse, the horse will slowly rise into the air. If it is close to the collision zone of a stationary object (wall, rock, tree, fence) the object exerts a kind of anti-friction on the horse, and only the end of the animal nearest the object will rise. This has been happening since vanilla, and the last official patch did not fix it. In extreme cases (when the horse has levitated higher than the animal's height) when dismounting on uneven ground (which seems to make it worse), the mounting animation will look like the PC teleporting into the air to mount the horse, and then you have to ride the horse back down to the ground until the front hooves make ground contact, at which point the rear hooves snap to the ground and normal behavior takes over. Please tell me the unofficial patch fixes this. Phelaran 18:34, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Magic animation stuck on screen.
On my save on the PS3 version, there is a strange glitch that happens randomly to my nord character: When I cast a spell on myself (heal, detect life, fortify etc), the on screen effect/animation that surrounds that character while casting stays in my view and wont disappear. This means I get lots of coloured blobs stuck on my first person view obscuring my vision. Saving and reloading does not fix this, it stays on the screen no matter what. The only option is to reload an old save. I have no idea what causes this graphical glitch to happen and therefor i have no idea how to avoid it. Please can someone advise? 81.135.46.38 23:31, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Extra defense?
Ok, I was being my Nord (on the ps3 GOTY) and he fights hand to hand and i clicked on a shield with 7% frost resistance and it equipted it and for some reason it added the 7% frost resistance onto my actual defense. Its strange because he doesnt use weapons. Has this happened to anyone else? --Sencilia 08:51, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

- I have the Shield of frost and it give me 7% frost resistance and only 4 defense (its a light armour) and Gary (my male nord) fights hand to hand and without the shield his defense (with the shield icon) is at 21 (with steel armour w/o helm) but when i equipt the shield (still with no weapon) it adds his defense to 28. --Sencilia 10:25, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- There are no shields with a resist frost enchantment, so your shield must have had a frost shield effect. Mikeyboy512's comment is correct. Even when you can't use a shield (for example, when fighting hand-to-hand), its enchantment still goes when you have it equipped. So, this shield you are using gives you 7% frost resistance and adds 7% to your defense rating. That's what frost shield means. If you would be using the shield, its own defense rating would apply to, giving you a total of (7 + 4) = 11% extra defense. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wolok gro-Barok (talk • contribs) on 14:32, 20 October 2009 (UTC).
- Just to confirm the others' observations, I looked up "Shield of Frost" in the Construction Set, and it does indeed have a Frost Shield effect and not a Resist Frost effect, so that's why you're getting the extra 7 defence. —Robin Hood (Talk • E-mail • Contribs) 21:23, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Unlimited stolen (or not stolen, your choice) weapons (possibly enchanted)
Ok, first, you need to have a spell/scroll that summons a monster with an item, second, a way of disentegrating an opponents weapon, third, you need to be inside your house in bravil. First, summon the monster, Second, disentegrate his weapon, third, either wait for summon to finish, or destroy summoned creature, fourth notice the stolen icon on the weapon.
I used undead champion scrolls with a ruin staff, if you repeat this process many times, eventually you will get an unenchated glass claymore from the undead champion (so you can put you own custom enchantment :D)
if you dont want a stolen weapon, simply walk outside the house.
- note that when you enter your house in bravil the symbol for it is "tresspassing" - possible link??
- also note that I was using the PS3 version GOTY

[edit] Extremely Useful Conjuration Glitch
Never seen anyone mention this. Not sure if this is technically an actual glitch, although it certainly seems to prevent the game from behaving properly, it's repeatable, and it can be very exploitable. Conjure a creature from Oblivion (I used a Skeleton, cheapest Magicka cost) and make it fall into some deep water by standing at the edge of the water. The pools in the Imperial City Market District are perfect for this. Remember, you can't conjure while in water, so stand above it! Now, jump into the water and attack the Skeleton. Even if you attack it more than three times it won't respond to you! It will simply stand still and play out its little animations (looking around, screeching etc). You can keep hitting and hitting it until it dies and there will be absolutely no threat to you! The game doesn't seem to register the fact that an NPC should have become hostile after three hits, as you can still use repair hammers and fast travel at any point after attacking it. If you increase the difficulty to maximum, you can hit it 6x as much to get maximum experience from it. I have found this method to be extremely useful and would go so far as to say that it is the fastest and most efficient way to manually train Blade, Blunt, Hand-to-Hand, Destruction (use weak touch spells like Shocking Touch) and Armorer (as you can repair your weapon after every single hit). Your Athletics may also increase as you'll be swimming. Attacking the creature while you stand out of water, or if you leave the water after hitting it three times, will provoke it and it will follow you (simply conjure a new one to quickly eliminate it). I have found this to be an invaluable source of experience and it has helped me to Efficient Level my way into 100 for many stats. Note: I'm using PS3 GOTY edition. Hope it works for you, it's an amazing glitch.
It's not a glitch. Conjured creatures will never attack you, whether you hit them once or 70,000 times. 58.169.236.212 08:10, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Wrong, any friendly NPC will retaliate if you hit it 4 times. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.207.73.55 (talk • contribs) on 16.20, 22 October 2009.
- Hardly seems to be a glitch, but may be of use to players if mentioned on the Skills Page, as one of the ways to artificially train skills. Summoned creatures normally become hostile after three hits, so it may work, but we'll need confirmation before we add it anywhere else. --Darkheart 01:53, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
The best way to determine if it is a proper glitch is for someone with a PC version to have a look at what's going on in the game code. Maybe it is a glitch since normally it will fight back but it won't, or maybe summoned creatures can't react while standing in water by design. Good idea to add it to that page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.207.73.55 (talk • contribs) on 16.20, 22 October 2009.

[edit] Ultimate Destruction Leveling Guide/Glitch
This Glitch I have kept a secret and I am now letting everyone know
For this glitch to work you must be able to create spells (Arcane University), have several scrolls of one type (Do not use to many or your game will freeze completely), have 1 Paint Brush, and start quest 'Whom Gods Annoy'
First thing you are going to want to do is create a spell like this:
Shock Damage Target -Magnitude: 3 -Area: 36 -Duration: 1
Next start the quest 'Whom Gods Annoy' in Leyawiin. Once you have the staff and the scamps are following you, we can begin the glitch.
Go some place safe where there is no npc's around for you to hit and kill. Use the scrolls to duplicate the paintbrushes (Double click the scrolls, then drop the paintbrush) Once this is done you should notice that there are a bunch of floating paintbrushes sharing the same spot. Next click the spell that you made earlier, step back from the paintbrushes slightly, aim slightly above the paintbrushes. Cast your spell, if done correctly the spell should hit the paintbrushes and your game should freeze for several seconds depending on how many paintbrushes were spawned. Once the game unfreezes, look at your destruction skill and it should have increased by a couple levels. The way this works is the spell hits the 4 scamps, multiplied by the number of paintbrushes. 4x50 = 200 hits = multiple levels :) Enjoy —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dmuller29 (talk • contribs) on 19:25, 23 October 2009.
Thank you for posting this glitch, now i can finally master my alteration skill, the only skill i havent mastered :D Mikeyboy512 07:15, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Inventory items hidden when changing gear
Maybe this is a variant of the "Kvatch Cuirass Glitch". I noticed it today and realized that it's also in older savegames: There's like one or more 'shadow' slots for items in the inventory. I add an item from a container to the inventory and it doesn't appear. It might appear when I put on or off some armor pieces or rings. Sometimes the items are initially there and vanish when re-dressing. They're not really gone, but dynamically invisible dependent on what items I put on. ... In retrospect, the first time this (or a variant of this) bug might have occured is when I picked the pocket of the orc trainer in Battlehorn Castle in order to get his zero-damage training weapons. I took multiple training daggers, and when training armorer and repairing them to 125%, sometimes they were regrouped, some vanished (also when put in containers), and eventually all but one dagger became non-stolen. ... Maybe this activity started the whole problem, maybe it happened 'on its own'. But it's frustrating that there seems to be no bugfix/patch. It would be nice to be able to somehow do an 'inventory-taking' to rebuild the item index or whatever the problem is. --217.85.229.247 22:22, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Glitch After Fort Coldcorn
Hi! I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else... you know the Easter egg quest for the chests and the keys for them... well, after starting up the first chest I get the key and the note, also following the pointing sword... not too far away from the path it leads me on is this cave to my right. Well after a few more feet away from that cave I freeze! I have to start the game over again, and luckily I saved where I was at, so no big loss. Then when I get to the same spot again, it happens the same way, in the same area, though I did try to walk to a different spot.
Has this been checked, or is it that my 360 really has had it? XD Thank you(Cookies... lots and lots of cookies!!! 18:29, 26 October 2009 (UTC))
[edit] Too many items glitch
I added a very important glitch for consideration. Please add it to the article as soon as possible. It was driving my mad for days and I restarted my 72 hour character before I tracked down the cause. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Piddyx (talk • contribs) on 3 November 2009.
- If you are referring to containers, that is already covered at the article: here. --Timenn-<talk> 11:23, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

- No, this is different. To duplicate this error put over 64 ingredients in a container and save the game. When you do so, you CTD. I haven;t figured out the exact number but it is slightly over 64--Piddyx 08:37, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Major game-crashing glitch
Four or five times, I've encountered a bug where the game freezes and crashes. I'm not sure if it is on all systems or just limited to the PS3. It usually happens when I encounter a hostile humanoid enemy. Then a very loud electronic screeching sound happens, and the game freezes. I'm not sure if it's the PS3 laser reading the disc wrong or a problem with the game itself. It only happens with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I figured out that you prevent the game from crashing by immediately pausing it when you hear the screeching sound (it is very distinctive) and then saving the game. Then, you reset the PS3 and re-load it, and it's fine again. Ongar the World-Weary 08:53, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- It sounds like a glitch specific to your system. You may want to check it's hardware or go see a technician if there's a problem with it that can be fixed. --Darkheart 02:08, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Repeated sheathing glitch
I looked around on YouTube and google for this but found nothing. It's pretty simple, you just unsheath your weapon (I only used Umbra but any weapon that can block should work), press the sheath key and before it finishes sheathing, forward dodge. If done correctly, the player should sheath his/her weapon again. This can be chained as much as you want. It has no practical use whatsoever but I thought it was noteworthy. If you guys don't understand it, I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel and I could link to it if you want.

[edit] Xivilai Wielding Blunt Weapon Causes Graphical glitch
Whenever a Xivilai knocks me back with a blunt weapon, my character's body distorts and stretches like taffy. It only snaps back when I start getting up again. This happens every time. Does this happen to anyone else?

[edit] Fort boss easy kill glitch
i was travelling through a fort and found a corner that you can walk through, you can shoot arrows and cast spells at enemies, they will run up to you but cant hit through the wall. i looked in forts that had a room exactly like and they all had that same corner, when you walk in the room theres a bridge, on the bridge theres a pressure pad, if you walk on the pressure pad two spiked logs will hit you. if you find a room like that, as soon as you enter take a left, follow the wall, after you take the left turn the corner you see, face it and walk into it. when i get back on the game ill look at some of the fort names, i know one of the forts rooms is called "hero's hall"
