Quick Walkthrough

1. Talk to Edd Theman at the Telvanni Council Chamber in Sadrith Mora for chores.
2. Get the Key to Tel Naga for Eddie to bring you the Ring of Equity.
3. Return to Eddie once he's got the ring to receive it and complete the quest.

Detailed Walkthrough

Chores

Once you recruit Fast Eddie and he arrives at the Telvanni Council Chamber in Sadrith Mora, you can get him to find the Ring of Equity from its hiding place in Neloth's treasury. All you need to do is bring him the Key to Tel Naga.

Ring of Equity

Most of the people in Tel Naga have a copy of the key, such as guards, visitors and Neloth himself. Steal or pickpocket one and return the key to Eddie. You'll receive a journal entry soon afterward when he has the ring. Meet him at the Council Chamber and he'll give it to you.

Notes

• You can do this quest before you recruit Eddie as a Mouth if you are already a Wizard. However, being a Wizard at that stage means you have received an advancement more than the developers intended. In the unpatched game, this leads to the Telvanni Master Bug, which prevents advancement to Magister and Archmagister.
• The Ring of Equity is arguably the strongest defensive item against spell casters in the normal game.

70		Fast Eddie has found the Ring of Equity and is waiting for me in the Telvanni Council House.
100		Fast Eddie gave me the Ring of Equity.
