Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Talk to Kaye at Ebonheart's Imperial Chapels for a new shrine sergeant mission: recovering a stolen Chapel Limeware Bowl from Caryarel.
  2. Learn that Caryarel lives in Gnaar Mok from any High Elf; the closest are Landorume and Fanildil in the Hawkmoth Legion Garrison.
  3. Travel to Gnaar Mok and steal the bowl from Caryarel's shack.
  4. Return to Kaye to complete the quest.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Shrine Sergeant Mission[edit]

At Ebonheart's Imperial Chapels, Kaye will ask you to recover a stolen Chapel Limeware Bowl from Caryarel, a High Elf who left the chapel's care at the same time the bowl disappeared. Kaye believes Caryarel lives along the coasts, but he suggests asking other High Elves if they can pinpoint his location.

Missing Limeware[edit]

You can hear of Caryarel's whereabouts from any High Elf. The closest are Landorume and Fanildil in the Hawkmoth Legion Garrison. Another option is Fainertil, down by the docks. They tell you he lives in Gnaar Mok, a small village on the coast west of Caldera. To get there, take a ship from the docks to Hla Oad and then straight on to Gnaar Mok.

In Gnaar Mok, Caryarel wanders the docks outside his shack, which is to your left if you arrived by ship. Talking to him is useless, as he plays innocent at all stages of the quest. Despite his denial, the limeware bowl is indeed stashed within the shack, inside a barrel between the hammock and table. To get past the locked shack door, your options are to kill him and loot his key, try to pickpocket the key, or break into the shack (discreetly).

Return to Kaye with the Chapel Limeware Bowl to receive 200 gold and three Scrolls of Divine Intervention.

Notes[edit]

  • If you have the Tribunal expansion, a second Chapel Limeware Bowl can be found in Llethan Manor, Godsreach, on the bottom shelf of a stand in the first upstairs room. Kaye doesn't care which of the two bowls you give him.
  • If you return to Kaye and admit defeat, his disposition towards you drops by ten.
  • Quest stage 20 is never set.

1 While a High Elf named Caryarel was being treated for swamp fever at the Imperial Chapels, a rare limeware bowl disappeared. Kaye asked me to find Caryarel and retrieve the missing chapel limeware bowl. Kaye says the High Elves are a small, tight-knit community on Vvardenfell, so he suggests I ask other High Elves if they know Caryarel and where he lives.
5 I told Kaye I would not be able to retrieve the Chapel Limeware Bowl as he requested. He was disappointed, and told me not to come back for at least a day. He told me to get my priorities straight before I ask him again for a shrine sergeant mission.
10 A High Elf told me that Caryarel lived in Gnaar Mok, a fishing village on the west coast of Vvardenfell.
15 A High Elf told me that Caryarel lived in Gnaar Mok, a fishing village on the Bitter Coast. I can get passage to Hla Oad, and then Gnaar Mok, from the shipmaster Nevosi Hlan, on the boat called "Chun-Ook" at the Ebonheart docks.
20 Someone in Gnaar Mok told me that Caryarel lived in a shack by the docks.
25 I spoke to Caryarel. He said he didn't know anything about a Chapel Limeware Bowl, and told me to go away and leave him alone.
50 Finishes quest☑ I returned the Chapel Limeware Bowl to Kaye. He was pleased enough to give me 200 gold to cover my expenses. He also gave me some divine intervention scrolls.
