[edit] Bartering Tips
A little tip on how to easily get maximum disposition from merchants. The difficulty to raise one's opinion of you with persuasion depends on its level. It's easier to raise from 50 to 75 than from 99 to 100. But when you barter, each time negotiation fails, disposition _temporarily_ drops one point, while if the deal is accepted, it (temporarily also) raises one point.
So, the thing is to barter, try to sell one worthless item at a prohibitive price (the "Max Sale" button added by Bloodmoon or Tribunal is handy), and click to propose the deal several times (like 20). Then cancel, persuade the merchant until you raise his/her opinion of yourself to 80% or more, and say goodbye. Talk with the merchant again, you've got 100% disposition.
By the same token, you can persuade the merchant while holding a weapon. This lowers his disposition by five points until the weapon is put away, so you only need to persuade to 95% disposition (or 75%, if you use the above technique). This works if anything at all is in your hand, even a lockpick or a probe.
If you have an item (Like an ebony item) thats worth more than the max gold of the merchant there is a way of getting all the gold. Lets say that you have an item worth 10.000 gold, but the merchant only have 5000 gold to barter with. To get full price, simply max sale to 5000 and buy items from the merchant until you've spent 5000 gold. Then accept the deal and wait for 24 hours and the start selling the items you bought the day before. Takes a while when selling a high levell items, but the gold you make are enormous.

[edit] Pillow Forts
This hint is not as useful as it is fun. First, you need at least 100-125 pillows -or however many you want. Drarayne Thelas in Balmora has about 120 in her house and storage area, and there is 40 in the Abandoned Shipwreck slightly above Vas. Then, decide where you want your fort to be. Here's some ideas: on top of your house, in the street, or on a hill overlooking a city. Next, decide how big you want it and start building. Build each wall just like you would a brick wall in real life, and you can even get fancy and put a roof or ceiling on it. Just experiment. P.S. It looks really cool with blue or red lanterns on it. WARNING-You may have to deal with an Overflow Loot Bag!
[edit] Extra Shelving
Need extra shelving in your house? Got extra pillows or books? Have some open wall space? Well, that's all you need to have extra room to show off your stuff. If you live in a house in Balmora, you start by placing the pillows or books on the little ledge on the wall, side by side. Six or seven pillows or books should be enough room for a full set of armor, not including a shield. Make them so close they touch. Next, just do what you did in the last step, only place the pillows or books on the tips of pillows or books that you have already put down. Retrieve the pillows or books that are underneath the top ones, and your done. In homes outside of Balmora, shelves are more difficult to construct. If there is some kind of ledge in your house, just do as described above. But if there isn't, one way you can build a shelf is to just stack up the pillows or books, and then remove all but the top one. Do this repeatedly right beside where you placed the the last one. Remmenber to make the upper most pillow or book even with your last one. Do that six or seven times in a row and you'll be done. Enjoy your extra shelving!!!
