Endryn Llethan

Endryn Llethan is a Dark Elf monk who works for the Tribunal Temple in High Fane, in Vivec's Temple Canton. He has several quests for you in the Tribunal Temple faction. You can also join the Temple by speaking to him. He offers medium training in Acrobatics, Hand-to-hand, and Sneak to high-ranking members of the Temple.

He is wearing an expensive robe and a pair of matching shoes. Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows Balyna's Soothing Balm and Ogrul's Quick-Again.

Dialogue[edit]

If you try to discuss the details of a duty with him while you are being persecuted as a False Incarnate, he says:

  • "I have heard that you are a False Incarnate. I am not yet convinced, but I no longer trust you."

And if you try to do the same thing while you are expelled from the Temple, he says:

  • "You have been expelled from the Temple."

Quest-Related Events[edit]

Disease Carrier[edit]

Once you have completed the Pilgrimage of the Seven Graces, you may receive your first proper duty from Endryn:

  • duties
    • "A holy woman here in Vivec is spreading the Divine Disease to others. Someone must convince Tanusea Veloth to leave Vivec City."
    • leave Vivec City
      • "Tanusea Veloth is a holy Pilgrim and well loved by the people. Do not kill her unless there is no other way. Try and convince her to go to the Corprusarium before she spreads the Divine Disease to others. She is very devout and would be most easily impressed by some show of your devotion to the Temple's teachings."
      • Tanusea Veloth

Return to him after dealing with Tanusea Veloth to finish the quest:

  • "Did you convince Tanusea Veloth to leave Vivec City?"
  • Tanusea Veloth
    • "She will leave Vivec and go to the corprusarium."
  • leave Vivec City
    • [If you persuaded her to leave. Disposition +10. 2 Potions of Cure Blight Disease have been added to your inventory.] "I am glad you were able to convince Tanusea Veloth to leave. She will be cared for in the Corprusarium and will no longer spread the disease. Since you may have been exposed to a blight disease, please take these potions. Are you ready for further duties?"
    • [If you killed her.] "I wish you had brought me better news. If Tanusea Veloth is dead, she will not spread the disease any longer. But with her death, we have lost one of the Temple's most faithful. Please stay with me for a moment of silence." Goodbye

After the quest, he has the following things to say about the matter:

  • leave Vivec City
    • [If you persuaded Tanusea Veloth to leave.] "Tanusea Veloth will be leaving Vivec City."
    • [If you killed Tanusea Veloth.] "Tanusea Veloth is no longer with us."

Silent Pilgrimage[edit]

For your second duty, Endryn wants you to undertake a silent pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine:

  • duties
    • "To prove that you have patience and wisdom you must make the Pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine."
    • Sanctus Shrine
      • "To make the Pilgrimage, I must swear you to silence. If you speak with anyone before reaching the shrine, you will have broken your vow. Before you are sworn to silence, you may wish to purchase some potions of levitation or water walking. There is no easy way to get to the Sanctus Shrine in Dagon Fel and the waters can be dangerous. Tell me when you are ready to take the vow of Silence."
      • Take vow of silence
        • "I swear you to silence. You may not speak again until you reach the Sanctus Shrine in Dagon Fel. The shrine is on an island west of Sheogorad. Look for a shack with a triolith beside it. I will mark it on your map."
      • Wait
        • "You may wait as long as you wish."

Speak with him again after either successfully completing the pilgrimage or failing to do so in order to finish the quest:

  • [If your pilgrimage was a success.] "Have you completed the pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine?"
  • [If you broke your oath of silence.] "Obviously you have failed your pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine."
  • Sanctus Shrine
    • [If your pilgrimage was a success. Disposition +15. Silence, The Four Suitors of Benitah, 36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 9 and 36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 27 have been added to your inventory.] "You made the Pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine, and you have proven your piety. I celebrate your devotion. Perhaps you would enjoy these books."
    • [If you broke your oath of silence. Disposition -5.] "You broke your oath of silence, %PCRank %PCName. This is disappointing. Perhaps you are not suited for the Temple."

If you mention the topic again after finishing the quest, Endryn reacts as follows:

  • Sanctus Shrine
    • [If your pilgrimage was a success.] "You have already made your Pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine."
    • [If you broke your oath of silence.] "You have already attempted your Pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine."

Shoes of St. Rilms[edit]

You have to be at least a Curate in the Temple to accept Endryn's third duty:

  • duties
    • [If you are an Adept or lower.] "Speak with me again when you are a Curate in the Temple. Until then, you may ask Tharer Rotheloth in Molag Mar or Tuls Valen at the Ald'ruhn Temple."
    • [If you are a Curate or higher.] "A precious relic of the Temple, the Shoes of St. Rilms, has been lost."
    • Shoes of St. Rilms
      • [If PCLevel ≤ 14. 1 Potion of Heroism, 4 Exclusive Restore Health and 2 Quality Potions of Invisibility have been added to your inventory.] "In a dream, a priest had a vision of the Shoes of St. Rilms lying neglected in the depths of Ald Sotha, just northeast of Vivec. Go to Ald Sotha and, if this is a true vision, return this sacred relic to the Temple. Ald Sotha may be too difficult for you, %PCName, but you might make it through with the aid of these potions. In the priests' [sic] vision, the shoes were in a chest, behind a statue of Mehrunes Dagon."
      • [Else. I offer you these potions to aid you in your quest."
      • Shoes of St. Rilms
        • "Go to Ald Sotha, just northeast of Vivec, and return this sacred relic to the Temple."

If you already have the shoes in your inventory when he first mentions them to you, you can turn them in at once (though this does prevent you from receiving any of the potions that he otherwise gives you):

  • Shoes of St. Rilms
    • "Are... are those the Shoes of St. Rilms? Have you already recovered them from the depths of Ald Sotha?"
    • Give her [sic] the shoess [sic]
      • [Disposition +15. Shoes of St. Rilms have been removed from your inventory.] "Good. I will make sure they are cared for."
    • Keep the shoes.
      • [Disposition -10.] "Perhaps you do not understand the importance of this priceless relic."

Else, you'll have to return to Endryn after making a trip to Ald Sotha to finish the quest:

  • "Have you found the Shoes of St. Rilms?"
  • Shoes of St. Rilms
    • "Yes, these are the Shoes of St. Rilms. Will you return them to their proper place in the Temple?"
    • Give shoes
    • Keep shoes

His reactions to your either keeping the shoes or giving them to him are the same as the ones that are listed above. Finally, you can mention the shoes again after the completion of this quest, in which case his response depends on whether you have already risen to the rank of Patriarch or not:

  • Shoes of St. Rilms
    • [If your rank is strictly below Patriarch.] "You brought me the Shoes of St. Rilms. I assure you they are being well cared for."
    • [Else. Shoes of St. Rilms have been added to your inventory.] "As Archcanon you may examine the shoes. I entrust them to your care."

Foul Cult Beneath St. Delyn Canton[edit]

Speak with Endryn after finishing the quest Shoes of St. Rilms to receive your next duty from him:

  • duties
    • "There is a foul cult operating under the St. Delyn Canton here in Vivec. Their meeting place is known as Ihinipalit."
    • Ihinipalit
      • [If PCLevel ≤ 14. 2 Scrolls of Hellfire, 2 Scrolls of Elemental Burst:Fire and 2 Scrolls of The Fifth Barrier have been added to your inventory.] "The cult meets there. I know only that Ihinipalit is somewhere beneath the St. Delyn Canton. Go there with fire in your eyes and in your heart. Bring the Temple's justice to the leader of this cult, Bjadmund. I wish I could accompany you, %PCRank %PCName, but I cannot. However, I can offer you these scrolls. This place holds as much danger as Ald Sotha. I did not believe you were ready, but you have proven me wrong. I hope that you will surprise me and return unharmed from Ihinipalit as well."
      • [Else. However, I can offer you these scrolls."
      • Ihinipalit
        • "Find Ihinipalit beneath the St. Delyn Canton. Bring the Temple's justice to the leader of this cult, Bjadmund."

If you have already dealt with Bjadmund before he asks you to do so, Endryn will be impressed:

  • Ihinipalit
    • [Disposition +15. 1 Ancestral Wisdom Staff has been added to your inventory.] "You already cleansed the dark cult from Ihinipalit? Then you have earned the respect of the Ancestors. Please take this Ancestral Wisdom Staff and my gratitude."

Else, you'll have to return to him after dealing with the cult in order to finish the quest:

  • "Have you cleansed the cult of Ihinipalit?"
  • Ihinipalit
    • [Disposition +15. 1 Ancestral Wisdom Staff has been added to your inventory.] "Yes, I heard Bjadmund is dead and the dark cult has been cleansed from the shrine of Ihinipalit. You have earned the respect of the Ancestors. Please take this Ancestral Wisdom Staff and my gratitude."

Mentioning the topic again after the completion of the quest elicits the following response:

  • Ihinipalit
    • "Ihinipalit has been cleansed of the dark cult."

Malacath of the House of Troubles[edit]

Endryn does not have any further duties for you until you rise to the rank of Diviner:

  • duties
    • "I have no more duties for you. Thank you for all you have done, %PCRank %PCName. Speak with Tuls Valen in Ald'ruhn or Tharer Rotheloth in Molag Mar if you seek more duties."

Once you have attained that rank, he will send you to the Archcanon himself, who now has some tasks for you:

  • duties
    • [Archcanon's Private Key has been added to your inventory.] "Yes, %PCRank. I believe Archcanon Saryoni wishes to speak with you. Here is the key to his rooms, behind the locked door here."

If you ask him for more duties after this point, he reacts as follows:

  • duties
    • "Speak with Archcanon Tholer Saryoni."
