Champion's cudgel enchantment[edit]

The enchantment is a bit vague, does it do 37 damage from each element seperatly for as total of 111 damage? or each effect from the different elements with 37 damage? or a chance to do fire, frost, or shock? — Unsigned comment by JCsquared (talkcontribs) at 00:12 on 11 December 2012‎

Good question. I just thought it had a chance to do extra damage in one of the three elements.-Zydrate[][] 16:33, 16 December 2012 (GMT)
It has a 50% chance of doing 25 Fire damage, an independant 50% chance to do 25 Frost damage, and an independant 50% chance to do 25 Shock damage. --Alfwyn (talk) 16:43, 16 December 2012 (GMT)
A question, how does the enchantment display if you disenchant the cudgel? --Alfwyn (talk) 16:48, 16 December 2012 (GMT)
The same way it does on the cudgel, just with different values, it's called "Chaos damage" in the enchantment menuJCsquared (talk) 19:53, 19 December 2012 (GMT)
It should be noted somewhere, that the Chaos Damage enhancement is stronger when placed on Stahlrim weapons. I think it is still considering the frost damage. — Unsigned comment by Romandoug (talkcontribs) at 05:51 on 21 December 2012‎

Glass bow of the stag prince[edit]

The current notes say this can be bought from Falas Selvayn but this is incorrect. I have 100 sneak, muffle 1.0 boots and use invisibility and he saw me everytime regardless until I used whirlwind sprint to pickpocket him. At no point in buying/selling did this bow replace the ebony bow he was offering to sell. However I can confirm the stag prince bow originates from Falas. The Source (talk) 00:22, 12 December 2012 (GMT)

Yeps it's cause his weapon inventory is carried by him and is not in his merchant inventory... so he does what all NPCs do and equips the best bow he's carrying... which is always the Glass Bow of the Stag Prince because of it's enchantment. Lord Eydvar Talk|Contribs 09:11, 15 December 2012 (GMT)
I just bought it by making him hostile then using bend will on him then checking what he had for sale so you can buy it. — Unsigned comment by 92.232.43.20 (talk) at 00:32 on 22 February 2013 (GMT)

Ahzidal's Helm of Vision[edit]

When I place Ahzidal's Helm of Vision on a mannequin in Severin Manor it changes appearance. It doesn't have the antler looking horns as shown in inventory or when worn, instead sporting two downward curving horns.

Spacefurry (talk) 07:04, 16 December 2012 (GMT

Are you playing on a female character? I've found that the mannequins tend to display the male version regardless of whether I'm playing a male or female character, so this happens for most equipment for me. It's possible that's the difference you're seeing. — ABCface 15:38, 16 December 2012 (GMT)
Update: Now that I've gotten this helm in my game, I can confirm that this is the case, at least for me. When worn on male characters, the downward curving horns is what you see, and on females the horns are pointing upwards. The appearance it displays on a mannequin is the male version. So unless you're playing a male character, this is definitely the difference you're seeing. — ABCface 17:43, 17 December 2012 (GMT)
Update: I am indeed playing as a female khajiit. Thanks for update. - Spacefurry (talk) 21:25, 17 December 2012 (GMT)

Visage of Mzund[edit]

Just got through a dwarven ruin named Fahlbtharz, at the end is the Visage of Mzund, a dwarven helmet that increases stamina by 60 and allows the Breath of Nchuak, a steam "shout" that does 15 points of damage and costs stamina to use. Just decided to add this because I didn't see it on the article — Unsigned comment by 98.250.228.218 (talk) at 14:36 on 16 December 2012‎

See this page. — ABCface 15:38, 16 December 2012 (GMT)
Shouldn't it be added to this page as well, for the sake of completeness? 174.60.98.113 01:18, 2 June 2013 (GMT)

Werewolf Rings[edit]

I bought all the rings from Manji a while back. I visited him recently, and he had the rings for sale again. Are they still considered unique?

--Jimeee (talk) 16:46, 20 December 2012 (GMT)

We still leave them on the unique items page since they can only be obtained in one location and in one way. The entire set of Blackguard's armor can be obtained repeatedly as well (I have three sets) because it respawns with the rest of the cell it's in. For items like this which are on the unique items page but can still be obtained more than once, it's best to just add that to the notes column for that item. — ABCface 21:58, 20 December 2012 (GMT)

Ring of Arcana[edit]

Not sure how particularly noteworthy it is, but Azhidal's Ring of Arcana will add the two spells to a follower's available spells if they wear it. Tested with Teldryn Sero, who used the ice spell, and does not have any such spell under normal circumstances. Have not tested Ring of Necromancy. 205.188.117.70 04:20, 21 December 2012 (GMT)

Tested with Serana; Ring of Necromancy seems to have no effect at all. In addition, Ring of Arcana, when worn by a non-mage/spellsword follower will cause them to use their spells first off a lot of the time when in combat. 64.12.117.8 04:29, 4 January 2013 (GMT)

Artifacts[edit]

Should a new page be created to list which of the various weapons and armors from the Dragonborn DLC are artifacts? There are certainly enough to warrant such a page, in my mind. 64.12.117.8 03:24, 2 January 2013 (GMT)

I found someone saying that page will be created soon. Waiting for it myself too. WeeziMonkey (talk) 14:28, 28 February 2013 (GMT)

Miraak's items[edit]

Two questions about his weapons and clothing: 1) Can you add new enchantments to his clothing, such as spell reduction cost on his robes? 2) The absorption effect on his sword is likely governed by the Destruction skill; however, what skill or skills, if any, govern his staff? Spiegel1 (talk) 15:51, 11 January 2013 (GMT)

Miraak's staff uses the "Mora's Agony" effect which has no school associated. So there's no skill that helps to get more uses out of it. --Alfwyn (talk) 16:01, 11 January 2013 (GMT)

Deathbrand[edit]

Not very good with the editing and stuff so I would like to ask someone else to give Deathbrand armor Ebony smithing as its perk required for upgrading. -- Iituti 4:45 Jan. 21 2013

Also, the icons given are incorrect. Deathbrand armor is actually light Stalhrim armor. --68.35.158.74 20:44, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
Is the icon Light Stalhrim? Its possible the base item is light stalhrim and the icon is for the heavy stalhrim. Jeancey (talk) 20:52, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
It's light armor in-game, and it's identical to the normal light Stalhrim armor. I'm not sure, but I think that means that it should be using the icons for light Stalhrim on this page. It's currently using the (admittedly very similar) icons for Stalhrim heavy armor. --68.35.158.74 21:17, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
I mean, does the item in game use the icon for light armor? or the heavy armor? Jeancey (talk) 21:21, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
I'm pretty sure it uses the icons (by which you mean the dropped/inventory models, right?) for light Stalhrim. --68.35.158.74 21:24, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
Could you double check it? Jeancey (talk) 21:28, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
I just checked, and it definitely does use the icons for light Stalhrim. --68.35.158.74 21:36, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
Yes☑Done. Jeancey (talk) 21:42, 9 February 2013 (GMT)

Skull[edit]

Should it be noted that a Skull identical to the one in the Miscellaneous section is sold by the Dremora Merchant? 189.60.19.169 21:26, 15 February 2013 (GMT)

He doesn't for me. Did you perhaps sell that skull to him earlier? --Alfwyn (talk) 21:30, 15 February 2013 (GMT)

Blackguard's Hood[edit]

For some reason I could only improve the armor to flawless rather than legendary. I have all avaliable perks for smithing. Is this a glitch or is this intended to be like this? --Dovahreid (talk) 16:30, 16 February 2013 (GMT)

Intended. All Blackguard items do not benefit from smithing perks. (184.6.91.89 06:16, 20 February 2013 (GMT))

Soulrender & Bloodscythe[edit]

Shouldn't Soulrender and Bloodscythe be added to the unique weapons list? 188.6.80.232 09:07, 20 June 2013 (GMT)

Or the Dwarven Black Bow of Fate, Bloodskal Blade, or Miraak's Staff and Mirakk's Sword? The Visage of Mzund, Miraak / Dukaan / Ahzidal / Zahkriisos to armor? 188.6.80.232 09:11, 20 June 2013 (GMT)

Most of these items were previously listed here, but have been moved to Skyrim:Artifacts. I've added links to that page from this page to hopefully aid in navigation. Hope that helps! — ABCface 03:56, 27 June 2013 (GMT)

Skull 2[edit]

A few days ago, I had added (different IP, I know) the Dremora Merchant as another source of the unique skull from the expansion. It was remvoed, since it doesn't appear in the "merchant's chest" (whatever that is, I really don't see the appeal of this technical aspects). Not I'm bartering with the Dremora again, and he is selling me the skull once again. So, we can't add it, right? --87.19.175.134 13:14, 8 August 2013 (GMT)

I'll go ahead and add it back with a {{Verification needed}} tag. What this means is that someone other than the person who added it in the first place has to confirm that it has been true in their game, without any unofficial mods. (On that note, what platform are you playing on? If you are on PC, do you have any mods other than the unofficial patches?) Once at least two different people have confirmed this without mods, then it can remain on the page (hopefully with an additional note explaining why it's not shown in his merchant chest in game data). As for the appeal of the technical aspects, checking game data is simply the easiest way to ensure accurate information is posted on articles. There are sometimes discrepancies, however, so hopefully with the VN tag on the page, we'll figure it out. — ABCface 13:33, 8 August 2013 (GMT)
Also, I just noticed the post above stating something similar. So, I also have that same question for you that the OP of that post never answered - did you sell him the version you got from elsewhere? — ABCface 13:36, 8 August 2013 (GMT)
I play on the Xbox. Of course, no mods, no unofficial stuff, and the like. Legendary edition, and latest patch. I assume it's reliable? --87.19.175.134 13:45, 8 August 2013 (GMT)
Well, knowing that definitely helps. Stuff like this is always better coming from non-PC users for the reason of mods. ;) So, what about the other question - is it possible you picked the skull up and sold it to him, and now it's appearing in his inventory for that reason? Either way, we still need someone else to verify the information in their game (with platform/mod info), but it would help to have all the details. — ABCface 13:57, 8 August 2013 (GMT)
Now, I do not know. It may be possible I sold the skull to him - I really do not remember! --87.19.175.134 14:21, 8 August 2013 (GMT)
I witnessed this on a friend's game (XBox360 all dlc's). Not sure if that counts. He did not sell it to the dremora merchant prior. In fact, he didn't recognize it at all...kinda freaked him out. lol ArgonianShadow (talk) 15:18, 4 February 2014 (GMT)

Improving the Champion's Cudgel[edit]

The article states that it is not possible to improve the Champion's Cudgel, but I just did it, and doubled the improvement with the Steel Smithing perk. I did an F3 search of the web pages for USKP and UDBP and didn't see that this was added by either of them. Can anybody verify or dispute my findings? --Xyzzy Talk 03:46, 27 August 2013 (GMT)

Since no one disagreed, I updated the article with my findings. --Xyzzy Talk 04:52, 12 September 2013 (GMT)
I checked the game data with the CK, there are originally no temper record for Champion's Cudgel, so it is not improvable. The UDBP added its temper recipe.117.4.10.29 05:03, 12 September 2013 (GMT)
Thanks, 117.
Xyzzy, it is (now) on the fix list for the UDBP. I'll make note of it on the page. — ABCface 05:16, 12 September 2013 (GMT)
Lol. Thanks for finding that, and changing the article back. --Xyzzy Talk 13:00, 12 September 2013 (GMT)

Ahzidal's armor items[edit]

I was checking the Ahzidal's armor items in CSList (e.g. Ahzidal's Helm of Vision) and noticed that they all have the skill entry of "Light Armor", but the keyword of ArmorHeavy. Does this mean that their effectiveness is governed by the Light Armor skill, but they benefit from the Heavy Armor Matching Set perk? --Xyzzy Talk 01:35, 1 January 2014 (GMT)

That seems to be a CSList bug - in the CK it shows as Heavy Armor. I'll look into it. --Alfwyn (talk) 01:43, 1 January 2014 (GMT)
Fixed now. This was caused by a change in the game data format taking effect from Hearthfire on. --Alfwyn (talk) 13:54, 1 January 2014 (GMT)
Thankee sai. --Xyzzy Talk 16:23, 1 January 2014 (GMT)

Ahzidal's Armor improvement perk[edit]

I have noticed in the game data that all pieces of his armor have the keyword ArmorMaterialSteelPlate (0x0006bbe7), which (I think) pertains to the Advanced Armors perk - but the improvement perk listed in the table is Steel. Should the perk be Steel or is the table correct? --Jimeee (talk) 11:13, 15 January 2014 (GMT)

That perk should be Advanced Armors, yes. --Alfwyn (talk) 13:38, 15 January 2014 (GMT)

Deathbrand/Vampire Lord Glitch?[edit]

I just became a vampire lord and was going through the tutorial with Harkon, when I reverted my form and my entire wardrobe was all mixed up. I went in to the transformation wearing a full set of Guild Master's Armor, but came out of it wearing a full set of Deathbrand ON TOP of Guild Master's boots, gloves and hood. My Amulet of Articulation was switched with a Necklace of Extreme Deft Hands, and while I went in wearing the Ring of Namira, I came out wearing both the Ring of Namira AND a Ring of Sneaking - despite the fact I only had in my inventory a Ring of Major Sneaking. Only the enchantments on my Deathbrand armor is showing up in the active effects, but the extra ring is showing up also. My armor rating is also effected by both the Deathbrand and Guild Master's armor that I'm wearing. I'm playing on the PS3, has anyone else encountered this before? As it is, I'm not sure what caused it. For all I know it could have been the guild armor, or something else altogether. — Unsigned comment by Essie (talkcontribs) at 22:06 on 15 January 2014 (GMT)

Soulrender & Bloodscythe bug with weapon rack[edit]

Off topic, I'd like to report a glitch that happened to me. Stupidly, I placed Soulrender and Bloodscythe on weapon racks at Lakeview Manor. Sure enough, the next time I went to re-equip the swords Soulrender had dissapeared, leaving me with an almost useless Bloodscythe. But then, after many in-game hours and many visits to my house, it suddenly appeared on the entrance of the house. However, it's enchantment didn't apply anymore when wielded with Bloodscythe, even though both weapon's charges were being consumed 189.60.23.123 00:14, 20 January 2014 (GMT)

Ahzidal's Ring of Arcana Spells Without The Ring[edit]

During Hircine's quest when the Cursed Ring is being forced (after equipping it, before killing the White Stag), I clicked on Ahzidal's Ring of Arcana and obtained the spells without equipping the ring. I can freely equip/unequip other rings without losing the spells. Re-equipping and taking the ring off again removes the skills again.

Not sure if this will be important, but the glitch was done through the favorites system (using SkyUI's system).

I've had some fun glitches in this playthrough, so I don't want to add the details to the page without another person confirming first. --Ghost42 (talk) 08:50, 2 June 2014 (GMT)

Ahzidal's boots wierd glitch[edit]

I am wearing ahzidal's boots and when I went to a stone on solstheim and it glitched. It made my character move up and down from the bottom of the pool of water to being on top and over and over. I don't think it's worth mentioning on the page but I thought I'd share. I0brendan0 (talk) 01:15, 3 July 2014 (GMT)

Dwarven Black Bow Of Fate[edit]

Why is this not listed in your unique weapons list? — Unsigned comment by 174.88.201.184 (talk) at 12:20 on 17 September 2016 (UTC)

Unique items are things that have unique enchantments and a single, fixed location. The Dwarven Black Bow is categorized as an artifact, because it has a unique appearance on top of that. Zul do onikaanLaan tinvaak 12:41, 17 September 2016 (UTC)

Quick question about Visage of Mzund[edit]

I'm considering running a character that will use Dwarven armor, and I'm looking at the Visage of Mzund for my helmet. Information I've seen says it's properly set up to benefit from the Dwarven Smithing perk, but does it also properly benefit from the Well Fitted and Matching Set perks?
