[edit] Quick Walkthrough
- Get a letter from the Emperor's agent.
- Meet Brisienna in a tavern of her choice.
[edit] Detailed Walkthrough
In one to two weeks after you surface from Privateer's Hold, you receive a letter from Lady Brisenna. In her letter, Lady Brisienna identifies herself as an emissary of the Emperor. She gives you the name of a town and a tavern in the Daggerfall region where you are to shall meet her. If you do not show up after a month, you get a second letter with a similar invitation. If you do not respond to that, she sends out a third letter which will reach you in two weeks, telling you basically that you are on your own, as in meaning you are probably not able to continue the main quest. As long as this third letter has not reached you, you still can meet her.
The sole purpose of this quest is to give you a little background information and to guide you toward the Castles of Daggerfall, Sentinel, and Wayrest. Once Lady Brisienna has delivered her message she goes into hiding and isn't seen until much later in the story. If you fail to visit her, your reputation with her and the emperor goes down a bit and you probably won't be able to continue the main quest.
[edit] Reputation Loss
In case you don't meet with Lady Brisienna, you will lose 15 reputation with her person.
[edit] Notes
- This is the only quest that you should do at the beginning. The rest of the main quest can be investigated at your leisure. Adventure for a bit, gaining skills, money, equipment and reputation to allow to survive a bit easier. Join a few guilds and complete quests to gain ranks and likewise privileges.
- Theoretically it is not necessary to do this quest since the global variable, which is set when you speak to Lady Brisienna, is only used to activate the journal entry. But aside from this journal entry, the global variable is not used to trigger any quests of the Main Quest storyline.
