More than a few locations in The Elder Scrolls series bear more than passing resemblances and references to places and people near Bethesda, Maryland, especially if they've made an influence on a design lead or team member. Also bear in mind that Chorrol's statue features a sword and what appears to be a Corinthian-inspired helm, indicating the wounded man is probably a soldier, which probably means the woman is a healer. == Chorrol Fame ==

Everyone in Chorrol loves me, and i have no idea why.

I'm playing a Male Breton spellsword (custom), level 20, personality unchanged or modified by items or spells and stands at 40. I have about 50 fame, having finished the mages guild quest line, most of the Arena line and just starting the Fighters guild line. The fighters guild line is what brought me back to Chorral for the first time since "fingers of the mountain". I haven't gained any infamy either. I have not started the Main quest or even visited Jauffre.

So i'm making my way around Chorral and it strikes me that everyone who comes by says the nicest things. Even dark elves and orcs. So i started doing some disposition checks. All the guards are 100, as well as the Countess and her staff, upon my very first visit to the chambers. The beggars are 100, and i've never given them money or even talked to them before this. The only folks not at 100 were a dark elf at 94 and an orc at 92 (don't have names, sorry). Even the merchant at Fire and Steel likes me (over 90), and i hadn't traded with her.

I checked with guild mates but they seem normal. 100 was to be expected from the mage guild and the fighters guild folks are between 70 and 90, which seems normal.

I haven't done any quests for any of the local people here yet. I was nice to Dar-Ma when she approached me long ago, and i hear she's gone missing since.

I cleared cache (i play goty edition on the xbox) restarted but it's unchanged. I checked with other towns and they are normal to me. guards being about 59-60 towards me, for example.

== Building bug ==
Sometimes occurs that the buildings in the southwest part of the city will disappear. I don`t know why, but all the people, walls, and houses will disappear. Not only disappear from sight, but also physically. You can see behind the chorrol walls and also go out of the city simply walking through the invisible wall. Only the doors and the ground will remain. If you open theese flying doors you enter in the house normally and it`s all right. But if you exit you will see only a flying door and the shape of the house in the ground. In the map you will see this part of city without the walls and the houses and the other part normal. I`ve all unofficial and official patch installed and i don`t have any mod.
A reload of the game is not effective.
A '''game restart''' should fix this issue, but sometimes the problem will reappear. --[[Special:Contributions/193.205.213.166|193.205.213.166]] 14:25, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
== Getting Different Numbers ==
When I use a Restore Health spell, my health does not increase by M x D. After playing with the numbers a little, I found out it actually increases by exactly int(0.95 x M) x D, regardless of my Restoration skill. I'm not sure where the 0.95 factor came from.
Well, I just found out this multiplier also applies to damaging spells, and I can't find any information that will tell me where the 0.95 came from. [[Special:Contributions/96.240.176.246|96.240.176.246]] 07:02, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

== Template ==

Maybe we should keep the info that is supposed to stay in the sandbox in a template, or on a separate page, so it isn't deleted. And aren't sandboxes the places where you ''are'' supposed to save changes during a test? [[User:C Teng|C Teng]] [[User talk:C Teng|[talk]]] 09:22, 7 December 2008 (EST)
: You can change anything you want - it'll just get changed back before long. The idea of including all the text in the sandbox is that people can see how various effects are achieved. If it gets moved to a template, that will no longer be possible. –[[User:Rpeh|Rpeh]]•[[User_Talk:Rpeh|T]]•[[Special:Contributions/Rpeh|C]]•[[Special:Emailuser/Rpeh|E]]• 09:46, 7 December 2008 (EST)

::Having it in a template would basically defeat the purpose of the sandbox, because then editors would not be able to edit the content. The reason the page contains so much content by default is because editors explicitly asked for a sandbox containing examples of various types of wiki markup so that they could could see the code for that markup and experiment with it to see what happens. People are ''supposed'' to delete the content, if they want to, to see what happens. There's no fear of the content really being lost, because the wiki page history keeps track of everything.
::And editors are free to save sandbox changes. As it says right at the top of the page "This is a place where you can edit freely without having to worry about messing anything up." The changes won't generally stay in place for too long because we clean up the sandbox regularly, but that doesn't mean that people aren't allowed to save in the first place. --[[User:Nephele|Nephele]][[User_talk:Nephele|Talk]] 09:52, 7 December 2008 (EST)
== Deleting a Sandbox ==

Can I suggest adding instructions for deleting a sandbox? Perhaps under the "Other Sandboxes" section, a NEW section called "Deleting Sandboxes"

Something like, You can delete personal sandboxes that you create by editing it and inserting <nowiki>{{speedydeletion|I no longer need this sandbox}}</nowiki>. For general information about deleting pages from the wiki, see [[UESPWiki:Deletion_Policy|The UESP Wiki Deletion Policy]].

I'd also like to add that I think the project page here is confusing, a problem of course, because a primary purpose of sandboxes is to help new (and confused) users!

Just the "You can edit ''This page'' at the beginning is confusing, because it is not immediately clear whether the "this" refers to the very page it is written on, or whether it is linking the user to a new page. It can be a little mind-blowing.
::Thanks for your answer. Are you asking me what the purpose would be for deleting a sandbox page? Well, if a sandbox can be used as a temporary space to experiment or practice, or to develop something, then it seems that they would often be created exactly with the intention of deleting them when the experiment or temporary work is finished. If there is no purpose for deleting a sandbox page, then I think there something missing from my knowledge or my logic.
::If there IS a purpose for deleting a sandbox, then I think it is not always easy for a new editor and someone who is not very familiar with UESP or wiki technology to figure out how to do it. As you know, I figured out how to do it, because you processed the request for me, but it took me a lot of effort to find that simple information.
::In my case just earlier, I remembered that I had seen the deletion policy page before, but I could not remember where it was. I could not find it by searching on UESP with the term "speedy deletion". (Now, I realize that I need to do an advanced search and have certain boxes checked that are not checked by default.) At the time, however, it was quite frustrating for me to try to find it. :::Most people who create a sandbox in the first place mostly use it to work on an article or something similar. Those few people who do, tend to be active on the site, and therefore use the sandbox over and over again. If you create a sandbox merely to test something and then delete it, this page functions as your temporary sandbox. So even fewer people would benefit from the deletion information. I just don't think it belongs here.
:::I do, however, agree that for finding specific pages, it's very hard to do so by using the help files etc., so perhaps more links can be added in the help files for example. You'd be surprised though how few people really browse the site for such information, people who have the ability to improve the site and actually do so by doing far more than mere minor edits (or at least that's my impression). Those people usually already know the info you're looking for, or they figure it out on their own (like you did now), albeit difficult sometimes. There's nothing wrong with contacting an administrator or patroller for questions, so most people do that instead. While these pages could perhaps be improved, there are many more pages out there that need much more attention, editors supposedly have more useful things to do. But don't take my word for it, I may be wrong.
== Template ==

== Template ==

== Deleting a Sandbox ==

Maybe: This very page you are reading now is designed so that you can edit it yourself.

The page will automatically revert to its current content ... (um, however that works).. periodically? After a certain number of edits?

To begin practicing at this moment, click the "edit" tab at the top of the page.

... Did you do it? If so, you can now begin experimenting with editing a page that contains information about editing!

There is nothing you can do to mess up this page, so try out anything you want.

Something like that???

--[[User:Jreynolds2|Jreynolds2]][[User_talk:Jreynolds2|Talk]] 17:36, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
:What's the purpose of that? You don't create pages with the intention of deleting them. I think the page is clear the way it is now. The page gets refreshed manually, which means another user restores it, so it depends on how much activity there is on the site. If you need information about deleting pages, see [[UESPWiki:Deletion Policy|here]] ~ [[User:Dwarfmp|Dwarfmp]] 18:28, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
So my purpose for suggesting that we add simple instructions for people to delete their sandboxes is simply... well, that I think some people may find it helpful. Isn't that what a "Help File" is for? I finally found the information by searching Google for "UESP speedy deletion"!

== Deleting a Sandbox ==

So my purpose for suggesting that we add simple instructions for people to delete their sandboxes is simply... well, that I think some people may find it helpful. Isn't that what a "Help File" is for? I finally found the information by searching Google for "UESP speedy deletion"!
::You think the page is clear. It is not clear to me. Haha. That's OK. I just wanted to give my suggestion, that's all. Thanks again for your help. Trading messages with you made me look at your user page, and it was so interesting that I read the whole thing. Don't worry about the bacteria in the beer. They like to be in your stomach. Did you know that our bodies have 10 bacterial cells for every human cell? So we are really bacteria with a little human in us! Thanks again. --[[User:Jreynolds2|Jreynolds2]][[User_talk:Jreynolds2|Talk]] 20:47, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

I thought that, maybe Tes3Mod:Sandbox, Tes3Mod:Sandbox/Sandbox, Tes4Mod:Sandbox and Tes4Mod:Sandbox/Sandbox could be created for experiments relating to these namespaces and their subpage-based organization. --[[User:Gez|Gez]] 19:39, 23 March 2009 (EDT)
== Deleting a Sandbox ==

:::Sorry for putting you through all the yapping on my userpage though :) ~ [[User:Dwarfmp|Dwarfmp]] 15:01, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
== Personal Sandbox Question ==

I don't know how to find a list of, or access personal sandboxes that I have created unless I remember all of their page names. I feel I need to keep a list of sandboxes ... perhaps in a sandbox? Then what if I forget the name of that sandbox? Help! --[[User:Jreynolds2|Jreynolds2]][[User_talk:Jreynolds2|Talk]] 17:39, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
: If you look at my pathetic [[User:Krusty|user page]] you'll see that I keep a list on top, for easier access. Others creates new pages within their userspace for a list of sandboxes - it's all up to you and perfectly alright. --[[User:Krusty|Krusty]] 17:42, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
::And if you really forgot, somehow, you can easily find the edits you made in it in your user contributions in the upper right corner of your screen, and then just filter it to userpages ~ [[User:Dwarfmp|Dwarfmp]] 18:28, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
:::Both good solutions. Thanks. It shows how we cannot see some very simple things that are new to us. I was thinking, "If I lose a sandbox, I will have to look through all of my contributions list." I never really looked at that page long enough to realize there was a filter. --[[User:Jreynolds2|Jreynolds2]][[User_talk:Jreynolds2|Talk]] 20:55, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
