They definitely don't exist in TESlore, but there's so many little anachronisms that it'd be a feat to avoid them all. It'd be interesting, but an extreme challenge, to document all of them.

Actually, in The Elder Scrolls "Olympian" is an alternate colloquial spelling of "O'Limpian," which was a joke nickname that people called a famous Breton who walked with a limp. He resented the nickname so much that he created some boots that were enchanted to feel like the right boot had a pebble in it, so that the wearer was forced to walk with a limp. :p

It's like all those fantasy worlds with guillotines, despite a Dr. Guillotin never existing in them. Also, are the rewards in the Night Mother's Crypt dependent on your own skill level? Typically, I find light armor in it, but one time, my knight who is more skilled in heavy armor found only heavy armor in it. Including the Boots of the Atronach. Praise Sithis.

I also note that Zenithar's mace has the turn undead effect, rather than Arkay's sword.

hey y'all i'm at the quest 'a brotherhood betrayed' in bruma,
i have to get to give olav me the key to the vampire's house
have to get olav's disposition to 70
tried the console command, but it says disposition TOWARDS olav 100
his disposition towards me (maybe bc it's i'm an orc) doesn't go above 69
anyone got the command?

Can you bribe him to raise his disposition towards you?

I've never had trouble getting NPCs to like me, and I never bribe them, but then I've never played as an Orc, either! :)

Here's another suggestion that might help without using console commands or bribery. See if you can first lower Olav's disposition toward you. This is because the conversation wheel will usually stop letting you try again once the NPC's disposition reaches a certain level, even if the NPC's disposition isn't as high as it can go-- for instance, if the highest it can go due to all of the factors involved is 88, then the button for playing the conversation mini-game may be deactivated ("grayed out" or no longer selectable) once the NPC's disposition falls within a range of 82 to 88. (I'm making those numbers up as an example.) So it's possible that Olav's disposition can go higher, but the button to start spinning the wheel is deactivated because his disposition is at the low end of the range.

As far as how to lower his disposition toward you, try buying or selling with him, but move the percentage bar up as high as it will go so he'll refuse your offer. Try once to make his disposition go down by 1, then try the conversation game again to see if the button is activated again. If necessary, repeat the process of making him an unacceptable offer, then going back to the conversation mini-game, until you find the specific disposition where the button is activated again-- for example, maybe at disposition 68 the button is deactivated, but at disposition 67 the button is activated again. Make a mental note of what that borderline disposition is.

Now try the conversation mini-game again and see if you can get his disposition up to 70 or above. If not, and the button is now deactivated again, go back to buying or selling until you lower his disposition to whatever that borderline disposition was, then try the conversation mini-game again. Repeat as needed until you're successful.

Or you can try using a spell on him to make him like you more. Aside from that, the guide says you can pickpocket the key from him, but I'd make sure to save your game before trying that in case your effort is unsuccessful.

The key isn't to a house, it's to the room at the end of the hallway in Olav's inn. You must gain entry to that room and give it a thorough search for the important clue that will advance you to the next stage of the quest.

PS-- I'm pretty good at the conversation mini-game, so I'll start a separate thread later with instructions on how to "win" that mini-game using my approach. And since it includes the use of buying and selling-- that is, if the character you're interacting with is a merchant-- I'll also describe how I wheel and deal my way to the maximum buying and selling percentage that your current situation will allow! If you follow my technique, you should have little trouble raising your Mercantile and Speechcraft skills and increasing your Personality attribute. :D

For the mini game I just keep choosing the smallest wedge amount on the negative quadrants and accept what ever larger wedge amounts fall on the positive quadrants. That way the number always goes up and I don't have to think very hard.

And you should play an Orc. Everyone should always play Orcs. The only thing they lack that matters for most games is Intelligence, which is simple-easy to build up. And you don't have to worry about them looking like potatoes.

Strictly speaking, should vampires and Daedra even leave solid corpses? Vampires "drop" vampire dust, while Daedra supposedly should melt into chaotic creatia.

Real vampires only turn into dust when sunlight hits them. When you stake them through the heart they stay whole. Maybe in the game, you are removing somebody part (heart?, blood?) and getting dust by putting it in the sun later. You got me on the deadra. No matter how you look at it you shouldn't get a permanent heart out of it if they are immortal and the body is going back to deadra-world.

Paradise is supposed to be a "training ground" for the Mythic Dawn immortals, but even if that is the case, besides the Grotto workers, why are they all hilariously under-equipped? "Git gud noob" is not an appropriate response when one fails to kill a Xivilai with only a club and no armor. Shouldn't they at least have what they had in life? For example, the Witches in Maggot Baits are well-equipped, while Reinhard Heydrich's Legion in Dies Irae still have their Waffen-SS gear. Both are expected to fight until they die, resurrect, and fight again, just like the Mythic Dawn immortals. However, most Mythic Dawn immortals "spawn" in Paradise with next to nothing to do so.

She usually takes them from you automatically right after she tells you what she wants. Its like what happens when you show up at the Shardrock bear guy with a pocket full of bear teeth without having started the quest from him.

You know, the Daedra who comprise the 4 Corners of the House of Troubles are certainly more fun than the 3 Daedra of the Anticipations/Reclamations. And apart from Azura, those Daedra aren't even better morally than the 4 Corners. I mean, Bal and Dagon only tell you to kill random strangers. Boethiah and Mephala encourage the killing of acquaintances.

Who does Boethia ask you to kill? I don't follow the lore so all I know is the shrine quest.
