I did forget how lovely Pelagiad is. I remember seeing it from afar on the road my first playthrough on the way to Balmora and stopping in for the night. What a lovely city it was, honestly, and the feel is very nice - it sticks out as an Imperial city in all the Dunmer style...and it's rather quaint.

Pelagiad doesn't really have all the services I want, but yes, it is beautiful.

Yes that is true. The services there are minimal, but I guess that's what you get for living in the country. I wouldn't mind retiring there.

I'd have to say Dagon Fel is my favorite town. It's got such a cool feel to it AND I brought Umbra as well as the house of earthly delights girls to the end of the world.

Pelagiad. This is the first town where I can not lose. Balmora is too big for me.(in 2006 year)

I loved Pelagiad for some reason.
It was where I placed most of my modded NPCs, just because it felt right to do so there and not in some bigger city.

I'm going with Ald'ruhn. I can't get enough of that Redoran architecture. However, I have to admit with some of my more recent characters I have been doing some experiments with living in odd places like Daedric shrines, Velothi towers, tombs, Dunmer strongholds, etc. and it has been extremely fun to have an odd hideout in the middle of nowhere to call home.

Oh I'm amazed by the beauty and creativity of Sadrith Mora. So it'll definitely gets my vote here.

It's hard to pick just one, because I like the flavor and uniqueness of them all, but I think my favorite is Balmora.

I was heavily biased towards Balmora, but then once I realised it was only cos I like the Hlaalu architechture, I decided to go with Suran.

(strip club and nude baths. [&@%!] YEAH!)

House of Earthly Delights!

It really is the best place in Morrowind.

I find it amazing how so many people can like Balmora that much... I mean I knew it was popular, but damn it's got like half the total votes or more.

There is a horrible lack of Telvanni lovers on here at the moment, they seem to have been replaced with those *shudders* Hlaalu dogs.

Now that I finally gave House Telvanni a Try and have to visit so many of their Towers, I gotta go with Vos & Tel Vos, because they're Eye Candy to me.
I like that Telvanni Tower built around some Imperial Fortress. And it's Fun to climb it with Jump Spell. Also that little Velothi Settlement, merged with those typical Telvanni Roots & Mushrooms is just cool to look at.
Vos and Tel Vos are really unique to say the least.

But I also like the Corprusarium on a rather shizophrenic basis: It gives me the Creeps, but at the same Time it is such a nice Place. How Mr. Fyr and his Girls care about those Corprus Victims gives this Place quite a strange Charm.

Vos is my favourite, it's so mysterious sitting out there in the middle of the Daedra-infested Grazelands. Like a little outpost at the end of the world...
Tel Vos gives me the creeps though. I remember meeting my first Golden Saint in the dungeons and just flipping out.
For sentimental reasons, Pelagiad, Suran and of course Balmora are always lovely to visit.
One town I've never lived in = Molag Mar (not counting the pimple-on-a-dog's-bottom Ald Velothi).

This is hard question  . 'Cos I generally love Morrowind and it's cities and it's people, I am not entirely sure, but I can list the towns I like more than the others.
Khuul (sounds like cool, and a source of awful puns)
Ald'ruhn (it's Redoran, 'nuff said)
Balmora (first large city, interesting characters)
Vivec (yes, I don't like the ramps, but it has cool people and ordinators)
Ghostgate (ordinators, a final resting point)
Maar Gan (it's a sad, sad place with lot of death :( )

I am loving Caldera at the moment. I have decided to make it my home base. Once I fill all of the storage in the towers and the Mages Guild I will declare Eminent Domain and start to move people out of their houses.
In my current game I am a hoarder. I can only sell an item if I have one in storage, kind of. I am not keeping any chitin or iron daggers.
It also works well because it is a spell away from Balmora and the body there makes for an excellent library.

Balmore. like others have said. Its the first major city you get to, has all the guilds and it seems like you are always travelling through it(silt strider/mage guild). It a home away from home.

I liked Tel Vos more because of the dungeon stuff that was creepy. Beram's Journal was interesting.
