So I stole this glass dagger that's worth 4,000 gold. I take it to some merchants, but they only want around 15 gold average for it. Is this normal? Do people not like glass daggers? It's not really a problem, I just find it funny they give so little for it.

It's more of a matter of your skills and how that particular merchant operates. Almost no merchant will give you near to full value on an object, and especially if it's not their particular field of goods

Best bet, use either of the two creature merchants. The scamp gives a good price, but only has a limited set of gold and wont buy everything. The mudgrab, is just better all around, but is a pain to find

Interesting note, I actually managed to bring both of them into my 'house'. Alot of work too. Had to make sure I had the right spells to tame them, along with a multitude of others to help make the travel easier(i.e speed, levitation, water stuff, ect) So with them and their ability to buy, and this nifty lil dead body acting as a bottomless storage chest.. Oh it makes for the perfect home.

It's not like that; the corpse is already there when you move in.

I always thought the ability to use corpses as storage containers in the ES games is silly.
Clothes are fine, but anything else shouldn't be allowed.

Yes yes, bc dressing up dead people in silly clothes and armor is much more appropriate than stuffing their cavities with gold and hoarded goods

I just throw all my stuff on the floor of the Balmora Mage's Guild. Also started a collection of Good Skoom pipes, skooma and moonsugar. Do you guys collect anything?

Anything and everything that is genuinely unique. Named dagger? One of a kind potion? Just some dirty paper note. All of it

Ha! I would collect more things too, but I sell a lot of the expensive stuff I find to fund my training. Maybe I'll collect the slave bracers?

Meh. You only need one pair of those. The rest, they sell for pennies. Don't even bother(except for the freeing slaves part. Do, please bother).

@Cass: How many shirts n dresses must this dead man wear? 12? Ya, that's perfectly fine

I really do love the variety of robes that are in the game. Plus I can wear them over armor. I wonder why they got rid of that. The exquisite robe are really ugly though.

Mate, skirts are the way to go(but yes, the robes are really cool too)

I'm guessing the reason why is to reduce the potential options for enchanting. Bc really, Morrowind allowed you to get stupid-broken strong.

Also, compared with Oblivion, there was a lack in pauldrons or standard gloves, so really wearing a robe over armor looked no different than if it was just a robe. To be fair, how many fully armored people do you see in robes? You generally expect that from fleshy mages. Still tho, they could of at least kept skirts gender neutral, it's not like they didn't have the assets for it

Also, interesting notes, but notice from oblivion, then into Skyrim. Slowly compounding sets of gear or clothing rather than keeping them as individual components. Look no further than the outfits in oblivion that you can wear i.e the ones that combine both pants and a shirt, occupying the same function as robes

Thanks Wolfborn! I'll definitely use them on my next playthrough. I don't want to get distracted with too many mods again. I promised myself to pass the game once in vanilla.

Has anyone played this game on 100 difficulty from the start? I just started a new character, and it seems to not affect player damage, only enemy damage. Is that normal?

Post subject:  Re: Morrowind General Discussion

Are you referring to the damage inflicted? That's elder scrolls for you. High difficulty just means you being squishy and hacking at an enemy for a decade.

Post subject:  Re: Morrowind General Discussion

I was mostly referring to the players damage output being unaffected. Like it doesn't take extra effort to take down enemies, but they'll likely kill you twice as fast. Unlike Skyrim's master difficulty halving you're damage and doubling the enemies.

Oh right. I see you like to live dangerously  I'd say the combat is already a handful with the hit or miss shenanigans. If they messed with the player damage output it would be borderline unplayable IMO
