I have wyre bash, boss, 7zip, etc. Are these steps right?

Download from lolnexus
Place into bash installers folder
go into installers tab (wyre bash)
right click new mod --> install
check that it's in mods tab
run BOSS for new mod order (will sort it automatically)

Is that it? If so, why does it seem much more complicated and what am i missing/doing wrong?

Also if anyone can help, the only problem so far (i've only installed UOP so far) is that the boss icon doesn't show up at the bottom of wyre bash. I just run boss separately though.

Nvm problem already.

I only installed UOP and now oblivion crashes after pressing "play" on the start menu. It worked before I had installed wyre bash.

This is what I have. I checkmarked everything. Crashed.

Only had oblivion check marked. crashed.

Closed wyrebash. Crashed.

Help please!

edit: this is on steam. I'm fairly certain it updated oblivion already and I also started a game and did like 5 seconds in the dungeon as people said to start the game to calibrate everything before modding. so it definitely worked before..

edit 2: automatic updates are enabled for this game.

edit 3: same problem happens starting it from program files instead of steam.

final edit deleting ini file fixed it. don't know why or what happened..
