Starting Oblivion (with OOO) after years of not playing it much, and after playing a few different types of characters (at low levels), I'm kind of curious what kinds of character setups have worked for you guys in the past. Most of all I'm curious if anyone's had much success with melee-based characters, 'cause I'm getting slaughtered on mine (compared to my archer who can run backwards shooting things all day if I don't screw up dodging fireballs).

I have seen the ooospoilers character creation guide, which has a few good points but mostly strikes me as a rather questionable document. Anyway, I'm fairly set on mine, but what kinds of characters have people found to work well in OOO?
